What makes a good or bad movie?

So if you decide to spend the cash to see a movie in theaters, what are your expectations or disappointments that make you say a movie is great or terrible?

For myself: Excitment, horror, and graphics related to the movie.

But if you are talking about going to see a movie with someone that can turn the movie into bad movie for you! someone bitching, complaining during the movie.

some time the theather in itself turn the movie into a bad movie because of the seat and etc...

depends on the genre but should hold your interest throughout the whole movie if your shelling out that much money, i prefer to only see action/thriller movies in the theatre and stuff like that kinda a waste watching a comedy at the theatres
