i dont know anything about zyban, but i heard swiffer wetjet has antifreeze in it and kills your pets :O

Zyban is Wellbutrin with a different name. Originally designed for pilots who are trying to quit smoking. Something in the rules that you can't fly commmercial jets while under the influence of anti-depressants. From what I've heard though it's the exact same med. Should be safe to use but I believe you need to take it for awhile to get the desired result. It slowly balances the chemical imbalance and needs time to build up the levels needed. Thanks, I've done some reading up on it, and I'm on anti-depressants already, but im not taking an MAOI. I have heard some good things about it. But I'm just wondering if its just more of a psychological effect, "I'm taking pills, i MUST be able to quit".

vikes is right, it's the same chemical makeup as wellbutrin,wellbutrin sr, and bupropion hydrochloride. It takes about a week to kick in and is used for about 8-12 weeks.

If it's like wellbutrin then yes, I've taken it. I used wellbutrin to quit smoking and it worked. I didn't really notice any major changes in my body feeling or mood.

Has anyone taking this medication gone out drinking on it? My girlfriends daughter just started taking it, and I warned her not to drink, cuz all the websites say it can really mess you up. Just wondering if anyone has any real world experience, and whether or not that stuff was put up there as a Worst Case Scenario kind of thing, or if it REALLY messes you up? Wanna keep my girls outta trouble....

I gave up the ciggies with Zyban... it worked for me! Pill-power for those with no will-power! I know several others who had reactions to it and couldn't take the course, and a couple of people who took it, quit, then started smoking again. Dont take it without first consulting ur physician, lol.
