The new forum

Well it's been a while now. I think everyone has had their chance to settle in. What do you think of the new forum now? Now that I'm used to it, I love it! I hated it at first and didn't post much, but once I settled in and accepted it I was good. I wish that damn arcade would get updated though, that's my only complaint now. What do the rest of you think?

2. develop use of vcash more
3. expand vbookies
4. more sub sections
5. give me my pink name & flower back
6. see 5


i think the new forum got off to a slow start with myself among the haters lol, however, it soon grew on me but i do think the forums lost something since "hackgate 2006" but i cant put my finger on what

are we missing sections that were here before the hack ? i really dont know what it is

I just wish there were more posts. I've come on here after not looking all weekend and been bored after 5 minutes. I'm tempted to go on spam sprees making pointless threads to try and get more posts going, but people tend to get annoyed when I do that...

Although I've now started using the shoutbox every now and again I still think the forum would be better off without it, and I think a fair compromise would be to put it at the bottom.

I think as a forum we need to worry a lot less about spam, and more about getting some interesting/entertaining threads going. IMO spam only matters if either no-one is interested in it at all (apart from the poster) or it's pushing relevant stuff off the page (with the lack of threads at the moment there's no danger of that!).


Also, a lot of threads at the moment are pretty rife with in-jokes. I don't see any problem with this in itself, but when there are so few threads I think maybe it's putting the newbies off and that means that the forum suffers even more.

i was the one who didnt think this would work....but im here now to say that i was wronge.....the new forum has surpassed my expectaions....im inpressed with the lot of you.....
we do need more post like Kat said....the ones that are posted are kind borring....but there has been respect shown in most threads....what i like to see..
