Noob with a couple questions

So I'm fairly new to the whole Dope Wars game. I played the standalone forever, so I get the basic concept.

I was curious about cartels to start off. I decided my first day that I'd make my own cartel and see what happens. This seems to have been a poor choice. Is there a way to delete a cartel and go back to solo, or can you move from one cartel to another cartel?

If I was able to swap cartels, what sort would I be most likely to succeed/contribute in?

Another thing somewhat on topic of cartels. I keep seeing cartels advertise as worthers or gunners and etc. How does this work in the overall game.



After looking around at what other people have said, I believe my strategy is a slow, poor way to do things. Most of my income is from junkies profits using tokens and selling my product to dealers at stations. I have, what I consider, a decent number of guns/vests, something like 8k each. I think my worth is somewhere around 1.1mil after about 3 days played.

So I was wondering, am I on the right track? Would it be smarter for me to try to specialize in one or two facets of the industry, rather than bringing them all up at once slowly?


Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can't delete the cartel but you can simply leave it and join another. Is there anyone else in the cartel with you?

For best results you want to join a cartel that is aiming for the same results as you. If a player is gunning they should aim to be in a cartel that is full of players also gunning. If a player is going for worth they should be in a cartel that has other players worthing. The reasons for this are due to the strength you get from your cartel mates. You benefit from what they are holding. IE Guns for gunners and Vests from worthers.
Sorry if I have not made that terribly clear. Let me know if you need more info.

I recommend choosing either guns or vests to purchase. Don't mix them. Vests give you protection from gunners. Guns allow to jump others. If you are going for worth stick to vests. For one, they are add more value to your total score.

And as for picking between guns or vests, if you go vests you most likely won't get beaten in an attack and if you go guns then you'll most likely get beaten in an attack, but you have the ability to attack them back with more effect, right?
