Another quick question (I'm also thinking of things to put in here so it's not completely useless :) )

I got my girlfriend a CD Player for her car last Valentine's Day (2005). I installed it myself b/c it already had a bracket in it (the last one died) and it's not hard to do. I know the only things I unhooked were the wires to the stereo, but I blew the circuit thing, whose name escapes me right now. Could I have blown the one to the defroster? Or do you think I could have taken out a wire to the defroster?

FUSES!! that was the word I was looking for. Yeah her's is huge, and I'm not sure how to check to make sure if it is working properly or not. But I just found out i can take the covering around the stereo off b/c it's just some screws I hadn't seen b4.

oh trust me, she has two, I know them well. The stereo burnt out the fuse when I installed it, took like 3 days to figure it out because you had to almost use a microscope to see where it had burnt out. Talk about frustrating.

well even if you have a doubt about a fuse you should still change them..

lmfao!,

Hoos, the fusebox is by the drivers side door as someone already said, lift the flap and you should see rows of pretty coloured rectangles, now you gotta find the one for the rear defroster, so go look in your manual for the number, then once you have found it, take it out and inspect it. If its ok, then its something else, if it aint, replace it (Halfords or Charlie Browns sell fuses) and walla problemo solvo :P

that's not funny, and I do know about the fuses. The fuse box in her car is ACTUALLY in the passenger seat floorboard area, not by the drivers' side door. and I already had to replace the stereo fuse, just didn't check the defroster i guess.

Examine the actual demister closely. The wires are very fine and easily broken when cleaning etc.

As a last resort, put Tung or Muzza on the parcel shelf and post something stupid. They'll start flaming in no time. The heat coming off them should rectify your problem.
