I have read this article and he should be protected because it is his right, assuming it's his religion. That doesn't mean I agree with it, but, it will be an eye-opener for the US if his defense works. There are waaaay to many loop holes out there.

It sounds like a religion he made up after being pinched by authorities. This sick fuck is infringing on the life, liberty and pursuit of happiness of those boys. Let's see him try to argue one amendment versus another in OHIO of all places. He'll get life imprisonment no question...

It sounds from the article like he's more interested in challenging the legal premis that children are fundamentally unable to consent to sex, than issues of religion. If he wants to raise that debate I think he has every right to do so.

Let him raise the debate then... not poodick a dozen challenged boys, get caught, then think that anyone cares what point he'll try to make after the fact. It may be his right to challenge the status quo, but it's not his right to rape little boys.
Get a rope!!! lol

His defense will be blown away quickly. It's certainly his right to believe these items, but it isn't his right to take it to a point where it's breaking the law. This is just like the people that claim they can smoke pot wherever/whenever just because "they're rastafarian." Nevermind the fact that he also committed these acts with autistic children, which is going to make it very hard for people to believe that these kids could, and did, consent to what was going on.

He certainly has the right to challenge the law but I he will almost certainly fail ( lets bloody hope so) and all his challenge will achieve is closing certain loopholes which might be a good thing.
We have more of a duty to protect children from people like him than we do to protect his civil rights as an abuser of children and/or vulnerable people.
It is one area I feel less than liberal about.
