DopeWars APIs

Hey All,

We've just finished creating some APIs for DopeWars.

API (Application Program Interface) will allow 3rd party developers to create applications to run on top of DopeWars. The APIs are ready, but we're still ironing out some bugs and creating some sample applications.

I will keep you up to date.

Most operating environments, such as MS-Windows, provide an API so that programmers can write applications consistent with the operating environment. Although APIs are designed for programmers, they are ultimately good for users because they guarantee that all programs using a common API will have similar interfaces. This makes it easier for users to learn new programs.

I dont know exactly what treadon is gonna do with this.

Pretty much with API other sites could have their own dopewars. With facebook it appears they will have it so schools and companies facing each other in their own dopewars game. (atleast from what I see)

I'm sure treadon could give some better info on what he is planning.

I'd like to put a masters of dopewars version together maybe add layers from other RPG's ya know reach a goal and graduate to another game in another system with new players causes some jarring of the comfort found when you know everyone in a room. I have a similar system in project mode for other gangster RPGs adding gambling layers etc.

*NICE* you can make calculators that won't require you to punch in numbers! Insert your username and pw and the script does the rest..I wouldn't mind the code for you sample script either rit..

I will not publish the source for the shakes example for 1 reason, taht is the source code is in no shape for it. It is messy, and slapped together. Timmy has an example which is much more easy to follow, check that out.

The links apparently went tits up when we updated the forum to version 3.6. It's sorted now.
