Damn, I love these terrorists, especially their incline to blow shit up on their own holidays.
You hear this sort of things on the news regularly, but when it actually touches you personally its kinda different. I work at 3 Times Square, and this is a copy of email we received at work this morning:

Colleagues,

The building management at 3 Times Square has informed us of a credible non-specific terrorist threat against the Reuters company. This threat comes on the heels of the Reuters photograph altering scandal that recently broke in the news.

As a result, beginning Monday August 21, 2006 increased security procedures will be instituted at 3 Times Square. All employees will be required to show your building ID at the front door to gain access to the lobby. All visitors with backpacks and other packages may be required to open those packages prior to being granted access to the building. The building will also have more security officers including plain clothes security in place.

Please also note that next Tuesday, August 22 is a significant day in the Islamic calendar, and this day was specifically cited in the threat received. Accordingly, we should all be extra cautious next week.

By copy to the other Office Leaders, please make sure the security and safety procedures in your offices are up to date and all employees are aware of such procedures.

Thats the Reuters news story they are talking about I believe: http://www.worldmag.com/articles/12164
I don't know why terrorists would actually be pissed off at Reuters, since this photoshopped pic only advances their cause of badmouthing Israel.
In any case our company, which is located in Reuters building, chickened out and we are not coming to work tomorrow, but getting homework assignments instead 8o|

this is what it actually looks like (the one on the right)

Better safe than sorry? I can't tell, here in Mexico luckily we don't have that kind of terrorism. We have a lot of real Cartel-Cartel, Cartel-Police conflicts though, and when they happen it's because territorial matters.

oh, and no TV until you finish your homework. :ice:

since we have bomb sniffing dogs at our building's entrance, tomorrow I will honestly say that dog ate my homework :orign:
Nothing happened today btw, but I got into major trouble because of this day off thing. So even without blowing themselves up terrorists caused me some major problems 8o|

Nice looking workplace Rob, seems kinda quiet though. Is it located in the city or on the outskirts somewhere?

Yes mate I do!

It's not in a major City Metall... there are other buildings around but this is the biggest. Birmingham is the nearest big city... yeah it's pretty quiet here, but a hive of international activity inside!
