The debate over if your sign means anything seems to have been floating about recently sooo...

Do you believe that your personality correlates with your birth sign? Do you read your horoscope and laugh or apply it to your life? Do two water signs make a better couple than an air and earth sign? Is all this sign stuff just made up for fun or does the position of the planets when you were born affect your mindset?

Yeah I really do believe in it... Although I dont believe in the horoscopes malarki.

But I really think that personalities can fit to star signs, and I tend to get on well with people that possess the star signs that i'm most compatible with.

Sag here and yes i think i fit the personality for my sign. I do believe that the allignments of the planets has something to do with your personality, but it isnt the only deciding factor on who you become. I ,however, dont follow the daily horroscope in the newspaper..thats all crap.

The planets are so far away as to be negligible in effect - the midwife at your birth exerts a greater gravitational pull than any of the planets.

I personally believe that everything is connected, the moon, the stars, the dirt, your neighbor... everything. Everything has a cause and effect that makes ripples, therefore the movement of large bodies of gas rock and other possibly unknown materials millions of lightyears away has an effect on everything else.

I also believe that immediate atmosphere for a human being includes four dimensions and then some. Time, Place, The Air, The Mood--All of that is effected by what is happening everywhere else and that includes the stars. SO, being that the stars move in a pattern which has been tracked to the point of scientific hypothetical predictions, star signs are not only plausible they are entirely possible.

Unfortunetly I do not believe that people (especially in the papers/net/magazines) practice their profession with even near the time, care, and precision of astrologists before them.

So yes, I believe in it but I do not follow it, let alone rule my life by it. I do read them out of curiosity but I rarely find one that shocks me with truth or startles me with sincerity. Mostly vague applications to an already vague situation.

In some papers they are meant to be funny... look up the Portland Mercury.. I cant rememebr the name of the writer.. but its always a crack up and often poigniant.. they don't pretend to much..

p.s I'm a scorp and the descriptions are pretty close to right on for me. I guess i'm typical.Lol

I find that the general traits of the sign fit me and the compatibilty traits seem to be true. I have a strong sexual attraction to scorpio, and love intrests with capricorn and sagitarious. I am also very hard to get along with and tend to be an self centered ass. All signs of a true virgo.
