Multi Accounts!

this is my first ever suggestion and only suggesting it cos it has happened to me!
In b4 this round I spammed for my second cartel and amazingly it was full on the first day! But guess what, it was full by over 10 multis created by someone to fuck up our round! I know who it is but i wont mention names. That same player made so many multis he even had spare ones to " Gun Fuck " me every day in the frist few days! They may have been deleted but by then your game is fucked!

Is there anything that can be done where The same IP is juts not allowed to sign up in the same room period right from the start?

I have no clue on what this would consist of and dont know if its been suggested before, but multi are really pissing me off, they are ruining games for others!

they are usually quite swift at detecting multies and ip ban is an option that has been used for continous offenders, alot of the time it is new players taht are unaware they should only play one account. I would say hte best and safest way to eliminate multies is recruit in the froum or build up a good relationship with as many loyal people as possible, or if you do mass pm expect to lose a few each round but if you can keep 4-5 players a round you will be bang on track.

Another point I would make when making a new cartel is don t let all the dw 'vets or celebs' or whatever you will call em. Build from scratch for better loyalties rather than someone who say play for reds, daqqers, tlb, or osm because invarioubly they will be booked up and forget or not bother.

well as IP ban is possible he could use a proxy or even have a Dynamic IP address that changes continually the only other solution then is banning an entire subnet more or less which would knock god knows how many people out of the game with the same subnet Prefix cause their using the same ISP.

as a note I may be incorrect on the subnet thing not 100% but as for proxy and dynamic those are pretty much a guaranteed solution to a ban.

Multiple times. If an ip is found with a multi i think ALL accounts at that address should be booted from that particular round, so if someone runs a multi in B2 then they get bootted from all Bgames they are in

The problem with limiting by IP is that there are places where the IP may look the same (any sort of network system for example) but they'll be two legitimate people. That's why the scans themselves go beyond just a regular IP scan.

that all depends how many people are cheating through out dw. i thought i read somewhere that people accidently sign back up in the same room. what happens in a case like that? do you delete both accounts in the same room or just the second one where the player screwed up by accident or multied?

But that fuckers cousin Luchini, many people see him on the most textbooks list every round he is in, he had a problem with me so he framed me to nightmare. Then that stupid bastard tried gunning me but failed. On top of that he sab'd my factories every chance he had. He knows how to make sure his multi's dont get detected cause he had about 5 in the "Kings" cartel. Sorry just had to put my 2 cents in.

You could also add a new rule that makes it against the rules to sign up with a proxy so they don't even bother.

the only problem with that concept is that EVERY dialup service uses proxy servers for access..neither rit nor i want to deny legit users :(

Now this may all be a coincidence or not. I would scan the hell out of that cartel. They came in to the game late and they are all sequenced. Just a little fishy.
