Because they pay, and he wants more people to do so... He owns the game, he makes the rules.

I would just like to take this opportunity to point out that none of this would have happened had people been content with the rotation.

I upgraded to premi last week, and I've never liked Empires Express, I just like the extra turns and research queues. Besides, Treadon obviously needs the money if he made one of the most popular games premi-only, so why don't people just pay the couple bucks a month to support him?

sorry bro but non premmys pay the bills IMO. GC has 95% Or more non premmys. If this game didnt have all these non paying players then the paying players wouldnt have fun and would all quit. So Non premmys pay the bills IMO.

I'm not saying people who don't have premis shouldn't play, I'm saying people who have been playing this game for more than say 5 months should at least consider upgrading. And if you can't afford 5 more dollars a month, you must be barely be making the cut with the internet fees.

i think the real reason there isn't many premmie players is because of the avg age of the players on sepica. In the states u have to be 18 to have a credit/bank card. If u don't have one ur stuck begging mommy and daddy to pay for an online game they would never understand.

If Treadon isn't making enough money to maintain the website, he has 1 of 2 choices.

1. More ads.

2. Make some games premi-only, that way people are more inclined to upgrade to premi.

So far, he has tryed both, and people have complained for both. Doesn't leave him much space to breathe, does it?

there's a problem with the game, more people have joined, they're just not being placed on teams. as soon as Treadon is online, I'm sure he will fix it

Yep, I pointed that out as soon as he announced it, then I laughed at all the people whining about it.

This is kinda true, I already had to ask for 15/month to get WoW, and now I got all re-adicted to this, bastards make addicting games.

You missed one:

3. Up the price of a primi account, he could do that if he really wanted to.

Build up your troops, tanks and air force and develop strategies on taking over the world with the rest of your team. You can do research to develop new and more powerful technologies, then move and attack armies in various countries. And best of all it's absolutely free to play. FALSE ADVERTISING!

What kind of advertisement advertises a website you are already on? That is a description of the game, not an advertisement. Besides, GC is free to play, there are other games than Empires Express, believe it or not.

It actually is false advertising. The game is not "absolutly free to play".
