maybe you are right. i once read in a hightimes that studies showed that plants did thrive more when music/tv etc was played during the day or if they were talked to :dunno:

but this article also said that if one plant out of the grow room was cut down the other studies also showed that the other plants showed slight signs of distress (yes pot plants). i dont remember exactly the article or what it said...its been years ago since i read it and i couldnt find it on line, but i found this :D

and i have a few vegetarian friends, I dont think they eat rainforests, but if there is a cheese totinos pizza in my freezer watch out! neither of them would eat anything with meat in it, but either of them would lick the right frog :D

i don't want people to stop eating meat. i would lose my job! i just don't want to chew on dead animals *shivers* especially not ones that have had come from a store.

DeLLie was but a young girl, going to see her first movie in a theater with her father, it was Bambi. Bambi's mother gets shot and the whole theater goes quiet expect for a few sniffles here and there, then DeLLie's dad stands up and starts clapping and cheering. :$ :$ :$ :$ DeLLie has never been the same since.

On that note, I grew up eating deer, pheasant, quail, turkey. We only ate meat from what my father killed, which happen to be alot. Now though I don't eat meat so much, I prefer to not unless its in something where I don't really taste it. Though bacon isn't that bad :hidey: I like my bread... that's my weakness.

Further more, we don't have any fruitarians here do we? I don't know if I could just eat fruits.

be vegetarian means for me to deny your human statut. mankind begun with the first hunter! but i must say that i don't like to eat hunt stuff now that we have lot of farms.
i have the luck to live near a farm and i buy directly meat, eggs, etc.. from the farmer. i product vegetables by my self in my garden. all that food is bio!

it tastes similar but not...
it's good.

japanese tofu IS healthy, but western...not so much.

i can only eat tofu if someone else prepares it. if i prepare the shit i lose my appetite! lol!

i LOVE seitan tho! i can eat it everyday a different way.....grilled, BBQ'd, roasted, casseroles, salads, sandwiches, etc. probably my favorite texturized vegetable protien of all. tempeh is good too, but not as versatile.

To those of you who are vegetarians are your children also? Have they tried meat or do you not offer it? The lil boy I babysit his mother is a vegetarian, though she's eating fish while she's breast milk, and she refuses to offer him any meat. I am not one big on meat but I ate more of it while I was pregnant. But I don't really eat much of it now, I offer it to my kids but they don't really seem interested. I know Beli said she never wanted meat even when she was a lil girl. Aeon when did you stop eating meat? Did you always dislike it or did something really turn you off to it? Sorry this thread has got me curious now. :$
