- Wager: If I win, Bambi05 owes me $200 (usd.) If I lose, I owe him $400 (usd.) The wager will be given up front to Jacx to hold on to (should he agree to hold on to it.) Wager must be given to him before the start of the round. Failure to pay up prior to the beginning of the round results in an early termination *See Below.* Any sort of "I quit, you win" during the round results in the loss of the entire pot.

- How the captain wishes to spend that money is his business (I will split the profits up evenly should I win.)

- Failure to pay the early termination fee will result in a banning from all oddthought games/forums until payment is made.

- EARLY TERMINATION CLAUSE: Once Bambi05 agrees to this, the terms are final. If the captain is to terminate this bet prior to the beginning of this special game, that captain will pay the other captain $200 (usd) for wasting his time.

Edit: Bambi05 has 72 hours to come up with an answer to this. I don't want him waiting until December 31st and then agreeing to it since I stated I would not recruit until this has been agreed to. The agreement to this bet will be done via posting on here stating that he agrees to these terms and conditions.

Second Edit: Should Psychostyle forget to create this game on Jan 2nd, a rescheduled date will be made which both parties agree to. In such a case, no penalties for not playing on that date will be enforced. The bet will still be active, and once again ending the bet early will result in an early termination fee.

Edit - 10:19 - Wager change just to get him to sign.

Ya true Lontan, but if your doing machines, you can only get so much, so you can't expect to finish with a junkie score. So no one can say you should finish with this much or that much doing machines. Unlike a junkie strat where the variables are many.

Yes I also realize about the cartel benefits. Naturally, a cartel with mostly junkie players will do way better then a cartel with machine players as long as most don't get gunned.

It's really easy to predict where you will finish with machines, there is a base score for machines depending on the number of tokens in a round and you add 1-1.5 mil worth for every junkie player in your cartel thanks to the cartel benefits you absorb. There are very few variables to worry about with machines, you should be able to predict your final score when running machines to within 1 mil after about 2 days.

You also seem to be under the mistaken impression that a junkie player can easily outscore a machine player. Under normal A game medal room conditions and with similar cartel bonuses a junkie player should never be able to outscore a machine player. Junkie players need to hoard at 50 mil or lower to compete with machine players. Hoarding at 60-70 mil, fairly average for a medal room, a junkie player will end up 6-10 mil behind a similarly skilled machine player.

The crazy thing is that despite the lower score the junkie player contributes far more to the cartel than a machine player could ever hope to. Junkie players gives an additional 1% of their production to each player in the cartel. If you want to get an indication of a junkie players true worth add 19% to their final score. This is why people tend to get annoyed with those who come into the forum and proclaim their brilliance with machines. Machines might put your name at the top of the rankings, especially if you decide to donate too, but it's the junkie players who make the most significant contributions.

I'm talking about a machine player and a junkie player in the same cartel. If they're both receiving the same cartel benefits then under most normal conditions the machine player will outscore the junkie player. There are times when a junkie player can outscore the machine player but they need some really nice conditions to do so. A2 in March 2006 is a good example of really odd conditions, a huge number of hoarders and no high worth gunners meant regular labless junkie players could hoard lower than normal and outscore the machiners but in most rounds when the pure gunners finish at 70 mil the labless junkie players cannot outscore the machine players.

Haha, you can't get away with this on my watch. Let's pull out the simulators...

We'll look at a basic machine strat in a 31 day round, 4 lab, 68 junkies, 700 machines then 500 books, hoarding all cash until the end of the round and collecting freebies every 24 hours. No fancy end of round trickery, just a stock standard machine strat, playing in a cartel with 19 others running machines.

Without a donation you get 3780 tokens. At the end of the round you'll have 2460 machines, a worth of $105,067,389 and $105,384,341 in hoarded cash giving a final worth of $109,833,654.

With a donation you get 3890 tokens and an additional $22 million cash. At the end of the round you'll have 2514 machines, a worth of $111,458,652 and $130,499,761 in hoarded cash giving a final worth of $117,360,824.

So the donation gave a $7.5 million advantage.

If you don't trust these results send me a PM and I'll be happy to describe the simulator and discuss all the assumptions I made, although past experience tells me that my results are scarily accurate.

Part of the game is staying off the radar of gunners and thuggers. Having to buy thugs to ward off thuggers indicates to me that you need to rethink your strategy. Thuggers target people in the top 10 so consider methods of keeping your worth artificially low like buying more junkies at the start of the round, hoarding more tokens or holding off the donation until the end of the round. Not having to buy 50,000 thugs will improve your scores by about $1 million.

2 cartels locked from the start , one machines , one junkies , this would be one way to decide the better strat .

You'd also need a 3rd cartel (gunners but there only task is to observe and prevent players hording from day one) as this automaticly gives junkies an advantage.

Everyone running junkies would be called "j" and everyone doing machines "m" making it completely annonamous. (i know it's spelt wrong )

The 3rd cartel would only need about 10 players ,as i mentioned there just there to observe and uphold the no low hording rule until players reach the 30 mill mark rising to 50 by the end of the month, as i feel this is a reasonable hord level for a rooms .
