Ok have you ever been playing a game and you told a n00b not to bust but they did anyways?
I think there needs to be a way for generals to restrict anyone of a lower rank then them from attacking or moving. Like a penalty. If it's gonna be based on army ranks then there should be army punishment.

ok so some noob joins..and acts a bit of a prick becuases hes not part of the comunity yet and dont want to be picked on. Whats to say a general will not hold a grudge and forever prevent the said person from progressing.
U got 5 team for anyone, especially noobs to learn and then pro for when they hit a good limit.
No need for ur function..yes its annoying but they need to learn from mistakes. ur new and u want to win..attack attack attack...they dont know that a real structure is used and to be obeyed, teach them that!

I agree with Jacx. As annoying as it is, too many loopholes to exploit it.
That said, welcome Jacx. Since ya been here things have seemed to go ALOT better. Not sure if you have anything to do with it or purely coincidental, but welcome!
(ok I know ya joined weeks and weeks ago, but I'm slow)

everyone was a noob once....be a little more patient...what you are suggesting is a very radical extreme..not really a good idea

im just suggesting that generals need the ability to control lesser ranked players not stop them from playing there needs to be some sort of control in the ranks even if its not in control of the generals
maybe if it's your first time playing you should be restricted to just building until someone else on you team busts or something along that line

it should be more like a buffer for new players to learn what the strategy for the game is

i remember when i first played ww2,i was like " HA! i got finland is anyone else gonna attack..??come on",i thought if you captured land you'll get more troops or sum like that....a ww2 game for experienced players only have been 1 of the many solutions,but...that day will never come

But the other teams have noobs too. The thing is, if someone is playing their first game, and they can't do anything because the general made them sit, then they're not going to think it's fun, and they'll go play something else. This means a massive reduction in new players, and since old players eventually leave, it means a much smaller community over time.

that made a little sence but if there is a pro game and a noob game
every one wants to be in the pro game
so when there good enough they can join
just like 5 team

Not really, like someone said, you piss of a general, he/she holds a grudge, now every time you play that game, you can't do shit without permission.

Sorry for wasting all your time.

the whole problem for the staff is how the hell do they know if a general would be abusing the system.
and also on that note, im pushing for a faster 5 team game that also forces u to bust within 24 hours cycle 1447 or something like that. That can keep the "keen to bust" people happy.

Nah, if they wanna whine about busting, then let em bust. Thats their decision, if they fuck up and their team gets bumped, too fucking bad.

personally, I think a better solution would be to give an incentive to busting. busting isn't as big of a disadvantage in 5-team as it is in WW2, but nothing good comes from it, unlike WW2.
so, I think there should be bonuses attached to a country, similar to how GC2 had, both good and bad. not only would this give teams a reason to bust, but it will also make countries worth defending, so everyone isn't constantly cap sitting.

I wasn't around for the previous GCs, and I was just wondering how that wouldn't result in everyone being 0'd? Was jet power less than it currently is?
Also, I like the bonuses per country idea - I'd like to see everyone starting with 2 countries - but I think that it would need to be something more substantial than what we have in WW2...those bonuses don't compensate for the disadvantage gained in being open to attack at any time IMO.

AAs were stronger, and didn't get destroyed by air raids (barrage destroyed them, but that's a whole different subject). plus there wasn't 500 players in a game, so there was less air raids, but I guess that also means less defenders, but, whatever....
and the bonuses were better then WW2, besides state barracks, there was also money (and a market), supplies, and oil (required for air) awarded for each country, but also, some countries you'd get bonuses, like a 10% strength upgrade, or a 20% reduction in research speed, along with others, and some were bad bonuses, like a 10% reduction in money per cycle, and whatnot. I forget all of them
