Checking in from Leipzig here. Everything is going great so far, apart from yesterday's score :Shutit:
Took lots of pictures, can't find a way to transfer them to computer atm, need an SD card reader.
First night I was in Freiburg, and after Italians won their first game the entire city centre was fucking nuts, pity on those people who live in nearby buildings, Italians were celebrating as if they won the <cup already, and Freiburg is a non-WC hosting city even!! Last night when Germans played the entire city was going nuts even before the game, people were stocking upü on beer and gathering in the city main square to watch the game on two giant screens. The whole country literally lives football from toddlers to grannies.
A lot of British fans were present even at our first game yesterday, they prolly bought whatever tickets they could get. Saw three Aussies in Ukraine jerseys sitting right below me, they talk with a funny accent (not that I donät talk with a funny accent either).
Moving to Hamburg on 19th, should be more interesting there, Leipzig is a shithole from Eastern Germany (aside from a few blocks in the city center).
Oh, and the damn German keyboard is fucked uzp, they switched letters Y and Z for some reason.
Special hello to Hobbels, see you very soon girl :hugs:

Later everyone :bye:

a couple of more notes about local women and beer
I thoguht that when >I left the U.S. I left shitty Budweiser behind me and was gonna enjoy quality local beer. Not so fast, Budweiser is the official sponsor of the Worl Cup meaning its the only (!!!) beer that could be bought at the stadium, and it costs 5 euros too! unfuckingbelievable

now on to women. they are damn HOT, nearly every single one of them (Germans donät even turn around when one walks past them on the street, wheere in the U.S. you see those long stares in the back). Unlike in the U.S. here in >Germany it is real hard to spot a fugly one. Also from what my German friend told me most of them are pretty easygoing, meaning that if you live in Germany you gotta be a big fucking loser if you can#t get laid.
Still stuck in Leipizig, though I must say watching the games on giant screens with 1000-2000 other fans is pretty fun. Especially watching the Brits play, their fans are everywhere, along with some Scotts.

Checking in from Hamburg now. The game will start in 3 hours, so I#ll be heading to the stadium soon.
A few impressions about seen in the past few days.
I love German Railways (DB). They supposedly make bilingual announcements, in German and in English. Bilingual my ass. Example of announcement in German - train is arriving 20 minutes late so if you had such and such train connections in this city you can take such and such alternative trains. "Translation" in English - train is arriving to its last stop, thanks for riding with DB.

And a few thoughts about couple of games that I've seen on the screen in Leipzig.

USA - Italy
I was no fan of US soccer team until this game. Both, Italian team and their fans behaved ridiculously on and off the field. Their fans booed US national anthem, while their players (not just Italians though) rolled in "pain" whenever they came into contact with American players. And of course heroic efforts of 8 US field players against 9 Italians when they held them off during entire second half must be mentioned. After watching this game I became a convert (Ukraine is still first of course).

South Korea - France
The game took place in Leipzig while I was still there and I guess a lot of Koreans couldnät get tickets to the game so they crowded city square where the game was shown. There was at least 1,000 of them and they looked and behaved as organiyed as a religios cult cheering every Koeran player's touch to the balls... I mean ball. Both teams looked very mediocre, Koreans especially, so all this cheereing looked especially ridiculous.

But the Dumbest Fans prize goes to local Germans. When I was riding to Hamburg today a few of these retards were riding above me in a two-story train, practically knocking on my head with some heavy shit (not even their feet) and trying to sing something illegible even for the German ear. I wouldäve loved to move away but the train was crowded and I had too much shit on me to move anyway. So here's to you, jerks :bukkake2:

The game with Arabs is almost starting, time to move :allah:

lmao, I love Reeperbahn, I have never seen such concentration of sex shops and strip clubs before. I wonder if Amsterdam's red light district will top that?
Anyway, turns out some of those same pretty looking German girls in their early 20's (some might even be younger) are also working the streets. I had to look twice to realize that those lined up girls on one of the streets perpendicular to Reeperbahn were whores. What a contrast to American ones who look just plain old and used.
Anyhow, I ended up buying some things in a sex shop for my girlfriend instead (handcuffs, etc). We'll have fun when I get back :orign:

thanks Rob, will do as much as I can get to the Internet. In Hamburg I have free access right in my hotel, so its easy to write from here frequently and in length.

Germans played today, so after the game the whole town obviously went nuts, Reeperbahn was closed for cars, a few fights broke out between Germans, broken glass is everywhere, some sex shops were closed and people are having fun in all ways possible. Its gonna be even crazier if England wins tonight, as I said their fans are everywhere, not just game hosting city. Here in Hamburg during Germany-Equador game there was about 50,000 people watching the game on the screen, quite a contrast from what seems now very quiet Leipzig.

A couple of other observations.
Gotta love German women, many of whom are riding their bicycles in mini skirts (bicycles are extremely popular here).
For Americans complaining about gas prices, compare them to prices in Germany: 1 liter of regular gas costs 1.33 euros. 1 gallon = 3.89 liters. Now those of you who are good at advanced calculus do the math and imagine what it woulda been like driving your Chevy Suburban at these prices. You would've probably bought a bicycle too then, or one of those SMART cars that we are currently laughing at.

But overall, uhm, this thread could've been so much better with pics, I'll post them as soon as I get the opportunity to. Moving somewhere near Berlin tomorrow for my last game on 23rd, so might not write anything till then

oh, and next week I am gonna be in Amsterdam, so I'll do a direct comparison between the Red Light District and Reeperbahn then :smartass:

my gf loved handcuffs idea btw, I wonder if I should surprise her with some more sex shop merchandise? (without going too extreme on masochistic side). already bought panties and "I love England" top (sorry Hundav, I couldn't buy her a cilt)

damn, Hundav got the exclusives already :blank:

anyway, I am obviously totally ecstatic now, the first game was just an accident it seems. and we get a pretty beaable opponent in the round of 16. no matterhow Ukraine goes from here we#ve already achieved a huge success by going through the group stage in our first tournament, unlike the hugely overrated chechs for instance.

berlin is a huge city, what seems like a 5 min walk on the map turns into 30-40 mins, but its well worth it, its got a lot to see and they keep building stuff everywhere.
hamburg is a nice city too, even without reeperbahn you could easily spend 2-3 days there without any museums or things of that nature.
my part is done in Germany, I am going to Graspop metal festival tonight in Belgium toight. the only thing left is to post pics, and lots of them. I´#ll do it asap, unless hundav beats me to it of course

my train leaves in like 1.5 hours, so I better get going, thanks for reading and your feedback. I#ll watch the rest on tv like all of you guys
