they are a concept band, with every song being a story that are somehow intertwined.

"Emo" is a newer form of "goth" w/ a few differences

emo music=emotional music, therefore, if u want to be an emo u must start to cry over tha lyrics u hear. Funeral for a Friend are emo
gothic music=really heavy screamy music that would give children nightmares. Cradle of Filth are a gothic band.

goths and emos as a person are a lil' different.
goths wear make-up, grow hair real long and dye it black, paint nails black, wear dog collars, have overally designed boots that weigh a tonne and wear trench coats
emos wear make-up have semi-long hair (coverin eyes and get it straightened), wear "drain pipe" pants/trousers/jeans (skinny fit), dont wear make-up (or not alot), wear studded belts halfway down their ass and walk around lookin depressed most of tha time.

this is just me bein stereotypical about this and obviously not all emos and goths do all this but it is what most do to be a true emo or goth.
