have you read the book? are you going to see the movie?
i am only half way through the book. pretty well written so far. good story lines and not to detailed as to be boring (Lord of the Rings) i was a little shocked to find out that the author, Chrisotpher Paolini was only 15 when he first started writing the story. what a great imagination.
i love the fact the the dragon is female :)

well there was so much describing stuff that i would get lost as to the plot. nevermind trying to keep track of all the crazy ass names. i had to have a guide to watch the movies. :$

I'd love to see it, but I'm scared it will be a trilogy so I'll wait till someone else has seen it first.

I was so pissed when I saw Lord of the Rings.
Everyone's going "what a great movie"
I'm going "where the hell is the ending???"

Ohhh, gotta wait 2 years or read 3 novels to find out what happens :@

I want instant gratification Damnit!

LOVED Eragon and Eldest is even better - HOWEVER - fair warning my friend saw the movie and it (unlike the book) seems like a 15-year old made it. Now I am :( because I was looking forward to it!

Hahaha my partner at the time did the same. He knew it was like that and dragged me along to see it just to tease me!
Soon as it finished he's looking at me and I'm going WTF! :@
He was laughing his ass off

I don't miss him at all :ang1:

So what's the verdict Beli? Does Eragon the movie have an ending?
(Don't you answer Dev, 'cos I aready know you will say it does anyway hahaha)

i didn't go see it yet. i decided it was just to much effort to actually get dressed and go to a theater. i am hoping that someone will give me a decent review so i know if i want to drag myself out of the house for it

ELDEST is the second book. I have been waiting for the third for about two years. I think they are waiting for the second movie to come out. ELDEST has a red dragon on the front, and its as good if not better than the ERAGON.

We are going this sunday..

EDIT:
We just saw it and honestly I thought it was pretty good. I mean its not Oscar winning but worth seeing in the theatres. Now I will probably read the book to get the details the movie missed.

I went and saw Eragon and I loved it!
I'm happy to say it does have an ending, that paves the way for the sequal of course, but a resolution non the less.

Here is my review for you Beli.

For someone who has a low tollerance for sitting still for more than 20min at a time, in a non-interactive environment, I didn't once think maybe I should sneak outside for a cigarette.

Things I loved- Great story, not too sad, not too soppy, not too cutesy. Wonderful wardrobe! *plots next fancy dress party* The animation was well done and mixed realisticly with the video footage. Well casted. The main characters were not so georgous as to be unbelievable (think Lora Croft, any movie with Brad Pitt in it). Just enough fight scene action not to have me sitting there thinking "just kill him and get on with it". A happy ending. A dragon.

Not so loved- Make up could have been much better. Hated the voice of the dragon! She sounded more like a fairy godmother or nanny. Tickets were overpriced cos it was Xmas holidays.

Now I will have to read the book too!

On another note, I also went to see Happy Feet.
Review of Happy Feet- Don't! Even if you have small children, don't! Hold your breath and spin around until you pass out instead.

thank you so much! wonderful review. sounds like we hav ethe same tastes in movies. i usually start wondering when it will be over in the first 20 mins. so it sounds like i might actually sit through this one.
and thanks for the warning on Happy Feet.

WHATTT????? I loved Happy Feet!! Honestly one of the most original animations I have seen in years. I have a very fidgety son and he sat throught the whole thing which was truly surprising. I think if you love dancing and music you will truly enjoy this movie.
