yep you either need to split it, or get dual layer (if your burner supports it, last time i bought some it was like 22$ for 3 of em!

Yeah I'm wondering if Dual Layers are ever gonna get cheap...
OK as for DVDs you used to be able to use DVDShrink to get a larger to DVD down to one 4.7 GB DVD..However I know this product is dead now.. Has anybody seen another program that will do this?

Thats it Andyy. I had heard though that the guy who wrote that was hired by Ahead (the guys that make Nero) and he is no longer updating the software. Honestly I loved it when I was ripping DVDs directly from DVDbut since I got movies directly from Torrents that fit 4.7 I stopped using it.

Jock, go ahead and buy a Dual Layer disk. If you try to shrink the 9Gb season to 4.7Gb, you're going to cut the video quality in almost half. DL dvd's aren't as expensive as they used to be.

Not neccessarily. I have found in the past that most of the space in 9GB disks is taken up by ALOT of extra content. If you use DVD Shrink or something similar to reauthor the DVD and remove the extra content (which honestly is that a bad thing to remove a bunch of boring shitty commentary and deleted footage?) I've found that most of the time the compression is usually between 75-80% which is hard to notice.
