anyone know how to open a laptop, like a fujitsu, i need to fix my heatsink.. they stupid repair shop did not do it, so im gonna do it myself. any help please

well the repair shop supposingly sent it to the manufacture....but my laptop is running at 80 c, when it should be around 30-40. thanks tho

Well it's not terribly surprising though. Many newer laptops are running hotter and hotter by default. That's why they're not being called "laptops" anymore, and instead are being called "Notebooks."

Mine gets pretty hot, but doesn't feel that hot. I thought you could get to most things from under the keyboard. But I guess taking that out is the problem?

Anybody else think its weird hes gonna try and fix his heatsink but he cant even remove a case ?

Ya know...Laptops are a mother f**ker to get apart.. I have one I have yet to figure out how to get apart to get the hard drive... I have replaced laptop hard drives before but the only way it looks like this one is coming out is if I bust it in half..So in all honesty once he gets it open the heatsink might be a snap!

lol mine just pulls out. But I guess that is what you get with a Dell.

Agreed! Dells are pretty modular...This one involves removing the keyboard..nice design huh?

well just to let all of ya know i got my laptop open, got to the heatsink, put artic silver on it cleaned it up etc. although it was the last place i looked on it , right under the keyborard. oh and not its not wired that i didnot know how to openmy laptop up but say im gonna fix the heat sink cause i had a friend who knew how to do it on a desktop, so it was a matter of opening it up.

so now if reaches 70 after i have been playing wow/ any games for hrs strait. idles at 30-40 yay big improvement ,not the best but a lot better then before
