Windows Media Player..

i updated to the newest version eh, and its real nice looking, it even automatically downloads the album covers and stuff, but it is one hell of a recource hog. does anybody know how i can make it less of a recource hog? by possibly disabling mediaplayer's net connection?, or is their another music player you can reccomend?

winamp is pretty cool, the you can organise music in much the same way as with media player, and the internet streaming tv and music vids are cool (i think i got a cracked version lol)

to be honest tho I've found winamp to be pretty heavy on memory too. I still use Media Player to play music, just cos I'm used to it and it doesn't do anything that annoys me too much.

Ya know there was a version a ways back of Winamp that was a major resource hog but the last couple versions are pretty light..I definitely use Winamp over Media Player because of resource constraints..

See thats the prob...you shouldn't need a shitload of RAM to play music and the occasional video.

well if u only have 256 mb, then u might consider the upgrade also...lol
