ok, ive been using wmp to synch mp3s to my mp3 player, and the problem is, when i load up the songs from playlists it doesnt tell me how much space is left on the damn thing, like, i put 300 songs into the synch list, and it says that it is half full, but i know it will be full around 200 songs, so its fucked up....
does anybody know better software for synchronizing mp3s? especially if it works faster.....(Y)

It tells me when mine, my little brothers, my mums or my aunties are filling as I add them to the sync list. :P Try using the sync list as opposed to the playlist.

I know that Windows Media Player does a good job of syncing to MP3 players..Its the only thing I use it for actually.

Cam it should show you at the bottom of the window just underneath the play list
no, windows media player shows the songs, and when i open the drive from my computer, i can see the songs are on there, but when i disconnect my mp3 player and go to play them, it shows no songs :@

OK i gotta ask this..I thought most MP3 Players used the Mass Storage Device drivers in Windows to mount themselves as a drive letter? I know most digital cameras do this and it would be a HELL of alot easier than having to sync like I used to do with my RIO.

yea, mine does that too, it comes up as G:\ in My Computer, and if i drag and drop a couple songs in it, it works fine, but that would be too much of a pain in the ass to fill it like that.

I can't imagine its any harder than browsing through the playlist but it might be..maybe you should create a customized 'Send To'

so you can send files from your computer to your MP3 list, but when you syncronise them and remove the drive nothing appears?
yea, when i was using wmp. but lastnight i figured out that it works if i uncheck the 'create folder hierarchy' box.

well, i think its supposed to do that, and it was working before :dunno:
now that i unchecked it, it doesnt keep the songs in the order i put them in, which is a minor nuisance, but atleast its workin lol

get the lastest version of WMP 11, it does tell you. but you can always go real one player or winamp, or just go to downloads.com and look for something you like.
