In dopewars you should have to option to be a loan shark and loan money to other members in the game! That could be one way to make your money. Just an idea.

Maybe if you kept quit , sat back & played a few rounds you would learn about this game that many of have being playing for years you would get an understanding of what this game is all about.

We welcome new players such as yourself but seriously learning to run before you can walk is not a good idea.

I can't really see a reason for that, apart from slaving. I can't think of an instance where you would need to borrow money and pay it back.

i had a version of this game long ago, and that was an option. If you didn't pay it back the loan shark would attack you and your health would decline.

Was that still on Floppy? :hidey: That one is an old one....The big difference with that and this is, you didn't counter react with other players type thing. There would be a lot of them in here that would use it right and turn it into slaving. There are a couple of things that are different from the old version and online.

it was a part of the game though, if it wasn't controlled by the players it would better. You could get a loan for alot of money and really beef up your thugs or uni credits, but if you didn't pay it back it would leave you weak to jumps.

I would like to try a "banK" in a DW game, exhorbitant interest rate, loans only (or maybe deposits, and a high "handling fee", say %10/transaction?). The "Bank/Loansharks" would be a game feature, not player controlled, toreduce slaving. I think it would add a whole new twist to the game, where you might borrow $$$ for some cheap creds early i the game, to get ahead of the gunners, to catch up with the worthers... It would have to be high, compounding (daily) interest, the penalty for default might be value owed in the NW value (NOT purchase cost) of any vests, guns, thugs, machines, credits, drugs and/or junkies you possess.
Maybe a "Loansharks playground" or something, or a "D" game...
