what do you think is the best software for editing an mp3, this one? - say I just wanted to edit out a few seconds of a song (bad word etc.)?

I don't really know bud. If you're talking about removing all of the audio for a second or so, then yea, its pretty easy to do with this...just highlight and cut the section you want. If you're talking about just removing the vocals then its a whole other story, and I really don't know much about it other than that there's no guaranteed method for every song, as it depends on how the track was recorded originally, and as far as I know the vocals can be across a range of frequencies on any track.
I don't really know that much about it...I haven't much experience with editing audio outside of this lol

I must not see the other half the conversation, I don't know what software you are on about but I use audacity for that simple stuff.

Audacity is free as well, I think I will look into this SoundFourge, is it open source, or some sort of freeware?

Dvd Decrypter hasnt been anywhere for months, everywhere its listed is "for archive only"..good thing i kept my cdopy and put it on disc.

Either Sony SoundForge or Audacity (free download here (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/))

Dvd Decrypter hasnt been anywhere for months, everywhere its listed is "for archive only"..good thing i kept my cdopy and put it on disc.
got 10 copy of that on disk you find it on the web easy
