Ok i reset my machine yesterday and aint got my port forwarding sorted.

I tried www.portforwarding.com it says to use my ip in my browser to access my router. Truth is i can find my installation disk so cant access my router by this method i know there is another way of doing it. I did it last night but it appears to have reset, i was pissed so never paid attention. Help i need my torrents:(

The default ip address for your router could be

http://192.168.1.1/

just stick that in your browser addy bar or even just click the link , its the most common one

other wise google your router and the correct Ip address should be on the makers website

Start -> Run -> cmd

ipconfig

Default Gateway will be the ip of your router...type that into your address bar

Welcome to the µTorrent Port Checker.
A test will be performed on your computer to check if the specified port is opened.

Checking port 30568 on 8*.1*6.2*9.1*9...

OK! Port 30568 is open and accepting connections.

You will be able to receive incoming BitTorrent connections.

fucking technology

LOL yeah I hacked a wireless router in a hotel because I knew what kind of router they were using and what the default password was..

As for it working Andyy..even w/o port forwarding Utorrent will most likely pass that test as long as there isn't a block on the port at the router..Its just going to use NAT translation instead of a 1 to 1 port forward. What I have found though is using NAT translation slows down the speed in which you download because the router needs to find out 'HEY who on the network asked for this packet?' everytime it comes in. With port forwarding it knows...'OH port XXXXX goes there'.
