Sync your iPod

Connect your iPod to your computer.
When the iPod icon appears in the iTunes window (below Devices), select it.
If the Summary pane isn't showing, click the Summary tab.
To automatically sync your iPod:
Make sure that "Manually manage music" is not selected.
Click the Music tab and do one of the following:
To automatically update your iPod with all the songs and playlists in your library, select "Sync music" and then select "All songs and playlists." iTunes loads the songs and playlists in your iTunes library onto your iPod, and deletes songs from your iPod that aren't in your library.
To automatically update your iPod with only certain playlists, select "Sync music" and "Selected playlists," and then select the playlists you want synchronized.
To manually sync your iPod:
Make sure that "Manually manage music" is selected.
Click Music (below Library, on the left side of the iTunes window) and then drag songs and playlists to your iPod.

The iPod is a piece of shite! It copies all songs when I only want selected songs. I then untick all the songs I don't want, resync and they are still there. It then asks me to convert a song to anotehr format. I say yes and next minute half of my songs are converting to it :argh: when it's done, I realize it's put 2 of all those songs onto iTunes. By this point I just said "fuck it" and sync'd it and went to bed. Tried to listen only to find out that it's deleted all my songs from the iPod!!! :@

So it's me. Back up, trying once again - I think from now on I'll use manual selection because this is just a piece of pish!

<in my anti-Firefox/pro-Opera voice>Fuck the iPod, stick with your mp3 players/Zune players</voice>

Oh fan-fucking-tastic! The songs won't bastarding go on now. Just sync the fucking songs :bangD: I don't care if it's ones I don't want, any will do now.

Restored the iPod to factory settings and now it's syncing... still a piece of shite though.

Triple post - all different points but feel free to merge the posts. :P I'll look rather schizofrenik :P

it depends on your settings. there's 2 different checkboxes, only sync checked items, and manually manage music and videos. so you can change it up however you want
