help no sound..

i woke up this morning and my laptop doesnt have any sound anymore. I went to the control panel and it is telling me that there is no audio device found on my computer anymore. HELP i want to listen to my music or my day will be ruined *sobs*

my friend had this problem the other day. the driver was uninstalled, you can either download a new driver or if ur lucky like he is, he found the install file somewere. go to device manager in admin tools and should tell u what make and modle u have

I've had actual drives just disappear and windows trying to delete itself so that is rather tame on the 'weird scale' for me. :D

Its a gift...and a curse. :-) I finally had mom get a Dell for the same reason..I built her a PC and she was always calling me and most of the time it was something she did. I love my mom but it was making me nuts. Now I say mom call Dell.
