I am allergic to shrimp, this Saturday I was at a party where they had a Buffet, and I didn't notice, and I asked for some 3 cheese pasta that was cooked in a pan where they had cooked some shrimp.
About 2 hours later I started feeling weird, hot hot hot, and the typical red spots started to appear ( this I had experienced before), but then my throat started to close and made it difficult for me to breathe and swallow which obviously started to freak me out.
Luckily my girlfriend's uncle is a doctor and immediately sent for medicine, and injected me with steroids that cut the reaction.
I started feeling better 10 min after the shot, got all sleepy. I woke up Sunday at 2 pm (slept 13 hours :| ) but feeling much better. ;)
