kurtz aka juggernaut has always mastered to make my scores look bad. in my defence, he is one of the best worth gunners in A and i'm just a bloody newb. it's a shame he's actually a nice guy as well. i have a hard time finding something to claim this thread wasn't deserved - except for the fact that he was playing for that bloody cheater cartel called TLB. fortunately, i have been privileged to play with him for a few rounds. if he hadn't been so bloody quiet on the forums, he would have gotten this thread earlier, i'm sure.

He also goes by the names Hopeless Case and Juggernaut but most of his big scores are under aliases. Doesn't say much in here but he's certainly one of the best players I've had the pleasure of playing with. Top notch worth gunner, top notch junkies and even though he doesn't use them often his machines aren't too shabby either. Basically he's as good as any player in the game and this thread is well deserved.

As far as I'm concerned, Justin is the best player I have witnessed. He is unpretentious, funny, helpful and plays a wicked strat that he cleverly tweaks throughout a game - one of the true Grand Masters. Well done mate :)

What brought you to DW in the first place?

one of my friends told me about it at one point. He quit playing after a couple weeks, but i decided to keep playing.


What was your original name in the game?

I started playing as Juggernaut, but i never had much success using that name, so eventually i became more known as Kurtz.

“momo" How did you get the name? (I saw that before you edited it ;)

Oddly enough my ex-girlfriend used to call me momo sometimes. I believe it was a reference to a mentally handicapped guy that used to hang out where she worked. :$

The name kurtz is a reference to Colonel Walter E. Kurtz from apocalypse now. In my noobish days i went crazy one round and signed up 5 or 6 accounts in one game. Kurtz was the only one that didnt get deleted, and I started to post decent scores with that name so i stuck with it.


What was your best finish in the game?

A round 36
Lock, Step and Gone $131,637,497 The Legitimate Businessmen; 2nd overall (damn you a-d :P)

Originally, I would have said B games, but after playing with TLB, and starting to gun more often, I'd have to say A games are the most fun for me.

One where machine strats were obselete

What cartel were you in when you started playing DW?

I played for random cartels my first couple rounds. My first regular A game cartel was one called Red Dead Revolver. My first regular B game cartel was likely Order of the Assasins

What cartels have you been a part of?

Mainly, The Legitimate Buisinessmen; Divine Supremacy; Love Rats; Order of the Assasins; Gunners for Hire; and for a little while Army of Sin, Freedom Fighters, and Daqqers during their rebuilding period (seems like they took off the round i decided to take a break :$ ), as well as a few others for 1 or 2 rounds.


What is your favorite cartel you were ever in?

The Legitimate Businessmen, not only were we successful, but it was an incredibly fun group of people to play with.

What was your least favorite cartel?

I guess it would be Resurrection because a couple cheaters made the whole cartel look bad

What new cartel are you keeping your eye on?

I'm not really watching that closely right now

I wouldn't really say that I've ever run a cartel, although i did help out Si and Flashman with Love Rats for a while.

LIkely triple medalling with TLB, or winning the Allstar Game the second time around (although it wasnt really officially reset)

probably one of two things:

1. the A13 playground where i dominated for the entire month until I was suicided for over $400 mil in worth and right out of first place.
or
2. the forum being hacked where i ended out losing 2 of my best scores that i posted above

Eyez Neverclear, Flashman, BuckledMac, Buzzin, DnD, anti-duck, tim|away, momo, and a few others that I'm sure I forgot to mention

I don't make very many enemies

no one really, although i believe it was the good people at AOS that handed me my first junkie strat, which i then made my own, and I would say I figured out A games alot from talking to Eyez

No one really comes to mind

kurtz - eyez and I were out one night in Seattle and I was nursing a beer. He told me about you and how you're one of the best players in the game and nobody realizes it because you don't have an ego.

That's rare, and I'm glad you got the recognition you deserve. I don't think I've ever played in a room with you, but DW is a small world and I'm sure we'll get a chance at some point (if we haven't already and just didn't realize it!).
