the time has come

For any tuner this has been something they have waited for since they first got into the tuner scene. This car has been on the wish list of almost any tuner, it's been on mine since i first laid eyes on it. The Skyline GT-R...but it won't bear the skyline badge, it will be known as the GT-R on the shores of the USA starting price around 70k for the 400+ hp twin turbo v6 awd new body designed Nissian. 70k I know what your thinking "damn thats alot of money!" but this is the same price range as a Z06 Vette, cheaper than a Viper and can run with the Porsche 911. Whats even better for the Tuners is the fact Nissian left room for the car to be modded. The Twin Turbo model comes with a factory boost of 10psi's. With critics saying that the engine will hold atleast double that amount of boost without doing any kind of internal engine modifications. If we thought the car was fast before, I can't wait to see what some of the american tuners can and will do to these cars.
One downside to the newly available GT-R's is the new body design, will it be accepted as a great new design to boost sales for sure in the american market or will it be a turn off to the tuner scene? Personally I feel the car has a bit of concept look to it, but it wouldn't deter me from buying one. Driving down the Highway in this vehicle will turn heads, and have most american cars looking for a badge on the trunk to let them know what just smoked their ass!!

that's a beast of a car...only small criticism I'd have of its style is the back end...it looks like its been chopped short or something :$

really? i thought the backend was the best looking part of the car:P just goes to show everybody has different tastes.

If you ask this Audi fan, its no R8 :P

But not bad in terms of performance claims. I can't say I like a thing about the looks though. Even that interrior was hideous. Someone will fly by me on the highway one day a very happy man though.
