who was your fav. best match, worst injury witnessed, who have you met in real life, and anything else you can think of wrestling.
i was watching the pay per view when Owen Hart fell
when Sid Vicious broke his leg... that was sick. it broke about mid shin and was just flopping about.
i like the cage matches. The Undertaker was my fav. The Rock another one.
we used to get free front row tickets when they came to Arco Arena here in Sacramento. my husband knew the lady that ran the ticket sales ;)
it was kind of silly back in the day, but then it started getting totally plain stupid. my nieghbors when i was young, had a son who was down syndrome. he loves wrestling to this day. so my sis and i would go over and watch wrestling with him. that is how i got started watching it.

2001 royal rumble, Stone Cold beat up HHH, so he lost the heavy weight title match, then HHH got his own back on stone cold by kicking the fuck outta him before he enter the royal rumble, then stone cold beats kane (the last 2 in the rumble) with a chair to win the 2001 Royal Rumble.
Bring back 316!

no he didnt get fired for beating up his wife. he still works for the WWE he just doesnt wrestle anymore. when you have a son it is almost a must to watch wrestling. my son comes to me everynight and says dad is raw on tonight. if i say no then he goes through the rest of the wrestling shows(ECW,TNA,Smackdown) wrestling damn near comes on everynight.

Bret Hart.
That's all I got to say.
Best match? There was a Summerslam match between Bret Hart and Davie Boy Smith in '92 or '94. Best match ever (Davie Boy won).
I was also watching when Owen fell (on PPV not in person). I saw the Sid accident later. It was pretty nasty!
I'm closely related to a Active Wrestler who has held numerous World titles is NWA, WCW, and WWF/WWE. Don't ask me who, 'cause I won't fucking tell you, but he's been around for a little while now (lol), and I often vacation with him. In fact, I'm driving up there in May for a week. (No, it's not Bret Hart, but, they've worked together in a couple promotions).

So you were there live in Kansas City, Missouri? If not, then you couldn't have seen it.
EDIT: I noticed that you didn't actually say you saw him fall, so it possible you were watching when he fell and heard the announcement live.

pay perview. we used to have parties for the Pay Per Views. my husband gets free beer from his work and we were up to 17 cases of beer stored in the pantry. so we had a party for wrestling. i admit to smoking a lot of pot during that time. so i can't remember exactly how i got the information of his death. :$

no i didn't see him fall live. i was watching the pay per view when he died.
TV viewers at home did not see the incident or its aftermath, as the WWF was transmitting a promotional video package for the match, and only showed the audience while Owen was being worked on by medical personnel inside the ring while WWF television announcer Jim Ross repeatedly told those watching live on pay-per-view that what just transpired was not a wrestling angle or storyline and that Hart was hurt badly.

goldberg was just a publicity stunt...the worst match ever was Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg. It was an attempt for me to start watching again but it was awful neither wrestler would take a fall.
Stone Cold is my best by far with Rock 2nd. I'd say the best match I've seen was probably the rock vs Mankind. Mick foley took 14 chair shots in a row, The show has never been the same once they did the WCW invasion they just handled it all wrong. How could u ever forget stone cold with the beer truck spraying vince and them down in the ring or Rock pretending to be past champions and put the humpty glasses on :)

When Vince bought WCW it was the worst mistake ever. every sport needs a competitor. with a competitor you strive to be #1 something to work for. you have to push the limits.(which doesnt happen now). If you read the book controversy creates cash you will see why WCW sold out to vince. Another great wrestler(most people doesnt like) is Kurt Angle. He was and still is one of the best inring performers ever.
I have to say it is time for ric flair to RETIRE

very true! it was so much fun to watch the WWF (sorry i really don't liek using WWE) try and out do the others. when there was no one else going against them i lost interest.
and Cushion thanks for reminding me of the Hardy Boyz. they used to do some really amazing stuff. Lita ;) until she got on steriods. she was kind of cute and then she started looking all manly, i assume it was steriods.
who was the one that used the milk truck to spray milk on everyone? was that Kurt Angle?
NovaCaine
8th March 2007, 10:58 AM
yes that was kurt angle. and talk about someone on roids. remember China. now that was a huge women.
Jeff hardy is a dare devil himself. That guy does some crazy stuff and seems to never get hurt.
Beli
8th March 2007, 11:01 AM
yeah China was/is scary. i don't see anything attractive there. but it was fun to watch her slam the guys around :) i think Lita was one of the few girls who seemed to really have some decent moves. most of the other girls were just there to show their puppies. ie Sable, Trish Stratus-well actually Trish was ok

i agree kurt angle is a good showman, remember the kurt angle vs Shane McMahon math. He belly to bellied shane thru the glass...speaking of that Shane has done some crazy shit for th company. Lita i think had to bulk up and was using legal roids since she broke her neck on that tv show.
the milk truck thing was a rip off of stone colds beer truck....thus another reason the show went down hill.

and beli i always watched TNA last night. again it is a must with my son. the wearing the mask is abyss. every wrestling has to have the freak of nature that everyone is afraid of. there are a few wcw rejects but there are also alot of new guys which are pretty good.

Mean Jean Okerlund was the best announcer. The classic matches were the best... Nobody could handle the ropes like the Superfly Snooka.
Killer Bees vs. British Bulldogs was one of those classics as well.

I used to watch WWF and WCW back in the day religiously. It was a hoot.
Not to the mention, the hot women were easy on the eyes lol.
But then WCW got bought out and a lot of wrestlers got the boot I liked.
Then WWF became WWE and it was okay at the begining but over time it started to lose pizzaz.
So many great wrestlers either left or quited etc...
I haven't watched in a few years now...
