no, not the kind that Tung catches. i mean aquarium fish. i was given several fish a few years ago and i really didn't want them but the alternative was they would be flushed :O. so i took them in. but the Angel fish has been swimming vertically for about the last year. i went to the local fish stores and they offer no help. anyon have an idea what could be wrong?

One of my pond fish has the same problem, apparently it's something to do with there swim bladder and is uncurable. But also isn't fatal, and not that big of a deal, the fish just looks like abit of a plonker lol

Well... i have an aquarium, which had loads of different types of fish in, but then i had this smart idea to add a Terrapin to the tank...
Turns out Terrapins like to eat fish :$
I'll post a picture of the little bugger soon :)

Santo! you need to get more fish. they are supposed to relieve your stress when you watch them swim. although mine fight a lot. but that is in the other tank from the Angel fish. who would have thought a "kissing" fish would be aggressive:S

I nursed a beta back to health after somebody I new nearly killed, it was healthy for about 6 months so I got 2 new fish to keep it company. I asked the person at the store if it would be alright to put them together. She assured me they would be fine, within 30 mins of finally puting them together I had to seperate them. They had already strated to eat the fins off of my beta. Needless to say they went back to the store.
I kept the beta alive for a year, when we took a trip that would last a month I took the fish to my mothers for her to care for it. It died within a week. She has a green thumb for plants and a black hand for inside fish.
I don't know how they hire people to work in the pet shops, but they need to have more knowledge on fish then what they do.

Konser, nice pics! that is great :)
lmao!! at Dymond and Cowboy! my poor little fish. some smartie at the aquarium store told me that all the fish needed was some blood worms (think that is what they were) so i got some. really gross and you have to rinse them out daily. however, the worms sink to the bottom and the sicky fish can't get it's mouth to the bottom of the tank :S.

I used to have a 14 inch long and 9 inch high (approx) Red Belly Pirahna and a 12 inch Plecosamas. Maneater....was a funny name at the time.....he would eat 1 dozen large comets every day. Sadly no pictures. Talk about stress relief.

yikes! my brother has Oscars and there is usually a piece of Goldfish floating around the tank. however, the Oscars don't bother the Plecosmas that he has in there with them.
i had to measure my Plecosamas and he is 12 inches. i will try and take pictures of him too. i have had him since it was just a lil tiny one. he and the kissing fish fight though. well now that i am watching them closely i think they are pretty good friends. they stay together a lot.

Never fear - Rex Mundi, Aquatic Doctor is here.
I have seen this problem before and thankfully, it is an easy one to rectify.
Simply turn your tank through 90 degrees and your fishy will again be swimming from side to side.

You can get dried blood worms in a can just like normal fish flakes...They float..It was what I fed my Angel
