She made a thread about the current state of the forum, I made a post in there after losing my temper directed at someone else not kitty. I went to delete my post and accidently deleted the thread and I'm sorry for doing it. I just had a brain fart and immediatly posted in the staff section to find a way to recover the thread but it can't be done.

While I dont think that you did this to directly affect me, I do think that you deleted the thread b/c you let your temper flare up, posted stupidly, and didnt like what was being said. I'm not the only one that saw your outburst, then all of a sudden the thread is missing...wow
For those forum users that dont understand exactly how a forum is modded...
I have an example.
http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/16/threadtoolsyz5an6.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
The above picture is what you see when you go to the first post of a thread. It gives you all the options seen above. It is where Craig accidently deleted the thread when trying to delete his post...
If you go down to where his post would have been in the thread...where he should have been to delete his own post...you would see that the only options there are edit...sticky..and close thread..So my question is why werent you down by your own post if you claim to have been deleting your own post...
I think your temper got the best of you and it's a shame :glare:

i clicked edit to edit my thread and got distracted then clicked the thread tools and clicked delete just thinking i was getting rid of my thread. I had no reason to delete the whole thread, I lost my temper to konsers comment in the sb and after cooling off i felt i did over react. But i'm not saying sorry again, i made a honest mistake and apoligized once. If u want to go on ur crusade about forum not being fair it has no bearing on me. I saw nothing wrong with your thread.
edit- What did i have to gain by admitting i did delete it? I could have just said i didn't know anything about it.

But anyway, what exactly does kitty know about modding the forums?? me thinks a higher power turns the screws....

Lisa, where the hell did that come from? You have no idea what I know about modding forums.Does everything have to drip sarcasm from you? Obviously I used the screenshot as an example that was from this forum, so there's your "higher power" but does that really mean that I dont know how to mod a forum myself? I have made several forums, and have also modded forums before I came to OT. So I hate to break it to you, but I am not getting help turning the screws..Go sniff out other clues:eh:

How dare you pose such a weak argument to a post that was aimed directly at me!!
-Kitty: you might want to take your own advice in the sensetivity area. ;)
And yes, almost everything has to "drip sarcasm" from me. I blame my upbringing.

Maybe you are detecting that I am sensitive, but I assure you I am not. I am just purely fed up with people poking their noses into things and acting like they know everything when clearly they dont(perhaps you can blame that on your upbringing too;) ). You have absolutely no clue about anything that has to do with me, and if you did you would know that I have made half of the forums that the cartels around here use..and I do know what I am talking about. So I am just trying to understand why you had to come in here with that completely off base comment? I can appreciate sarcasm..I use it alot myself, but when I do it..I make sure I know what I am talking about

Firstly, it was a question with an inquistive nature more than a comment. Secondly, I base my info on what I see here so of course I assume that you are not a mod becuase..well.. you aren't. So of course I, being precociously silly made some implications and forgot that it might upset you. Sorry, or wait maybe I'm not sorry cuz you aren't upset--or are you?? One may never know....
As far as "people poking their noses into things and acting like they know everything when clearly they dont"
What have I poked my nose into (all jokes aside) and which of my "actions" has shown that I know everything when I clearly don't?
Lastly-Am I not allowed to speak my mind in an open thread?

I forgot that OT was the only place to mod, so clearly I cannot know how to do it, since I am not doing it here.

I'll just assume that this comment "But anyway, what exactly does kitty know about modding the forums?? me thinks a higher power turns the screws...." tried to show that you knew something that we didnt lisa. You automatically assumed that I had no idea what I was doing and was just getting fed info.
Lastly-Am I not allowed to speak my mind in an open thread?
you so clearly try to copy Tim and KS with your "philosophical sarcasm"
copying them with your type of talk, well it's like rosie odonnel trying to wear paris hilton's dress....it just doesnt fit.

Alright, this is getting ridiculous.
I made assumptions based on what I know. I'm sorry that I wasn't aware of your modding knowledge. I was being silly in a jerky way. I really had no forthought that you would be so insulted by it, but that was a failure on my part.
But yea, you are right- I definately appreciate Tim's perspective and way of dealing with this kind of thing. He's excellent with language (sometimes knows english better than I) and making arguements and communication in general--I'm in awe of him many times not surprised if some of it comes through. I doubt though, that he would handled it the way I have here and I didn't reference any of his posts before I replied. Nor did I bother him for his opinion on such a small matter.
As far as KS goes I really think its a matter of being into similar things and thinking the same way. So perhaps you believe I'm copying him when in reality I'm writing the same way I have always written before I even knew who KS was....
Infact I don't think either of them would defend themselves to you at all the way I am doing. So I guess thats where I get referenced to Rosie O'Donnel, as tim might say, "in such a classy manner"

Alright ladies, does anyone want a cookie?
I do understand that it's inconvenient to lose a thread one has put plenty of effort into. I also understand that the timing of the deletion might lead to certain conclusions which may or may not be true. Bottom line: There is no way to undelete your thread, Kerri. In addition to Craigs sincer apology, I'd like to use this chance to say sorry for any inconvenience on behalf of the entire oddthought staff. We value your opinion - it's a bloody shame that your quality input is lost.
Kerri, you have basically two options:
Option 1:
You put on us cuteness overload and keep being stroppy whilst showing us your lovely little claws. I am uncertain as to whether or not this is good for you. However, we will listen and be thankful that you are still putting up with us, crazy lady.
Option 2:
Sod this! You dip your cookie in a glass of milk and take into consideration that Craig is actually just a human being. it's a silly kind of creature that tends to mess things up constantly - hence, human error. Further, you have a good rant and call me all sorts of names. I promise that I won't be snappy.
Do what's good for you and remember to breathe, young lady. Thank you.
-Tim
P.S.:
I promise that you won't get an infraction for calling me names, despite the fact that this isn't AIW. I might be looking forward to this.
