Totally agree with Beli and s4l for once..It is sad that one phone call did this and I believe that we should get some explination as to why..Not to mention it is kinda sad that one person can speak for the whole forum and not at all fair in my opinion

- A week ago (the post started on 5/11 to be exact) there was a thread in the staff forum about someone who called (whose identity I won't say) and complained over multiple items. These items ranged from how super strict we are in enforcing the rules now to playing favoritism since P-Style may get laid. In said phone call, it was stated that this person was speaking on behalf of many people who had similar complaints.

- There was serious discussion in the Staff section on this item. Many things were said, and we were supposed to be working on a solution for this.

- Since then, the open house A/I/W was made again with pretty much a rule free environment for people to complain in. This was to combat one of the complaints that you all had no where to go and vent at each other without a mod coming down on you for being harsh.

- Today all the staff members received a PM. In this PM it detailed the new roles of the staff. Five staff members (Vixen, Phuquit, Smokie, Zonify, and JJ) were let go from their positions. Other staff members (Ridgeback, myself, TJ60, Dymond, Steff, possibly some of the GC staff) were demoted in some way, shape, or form.

- Also stated in this PM is the fact that the forum is now supposed to moderate itself, and we should only get involved when you want us to (via reporting) or if it gets blatantly obvious that an infraction has occurred.

That's about as close to objectivity as you can get for the events during the past week. It will be up to anyone else with more information to add it if necessary.

Buck and KS and Ridge are floating mods, however, KS and Ridge STILL have limited Admin access. Tim, Jacx and Steve are still full admins. Smokie, Vixen, Zonify, and Phuquit were removed as well. Zonify disaapeared 2 weeks ago, and Phuquit hasn't been here much and they felt he wasn't interested anymore they said. Smokie and Vixen, were choiced they made during their many meetings over this.

Now, That's the way it is, those are the facts.. and Jacx and/or Tim will make a post explaining their reasonings behind all this.

someone gave us a call to complain about a few issues, these issue were brought up in the staff section so ALL the staff could see what had been said and so ALL the staff could discuss if any were valid issues. However now apparently the debates betwen some of the admins in private in the last few months are all the result of a phone call last week.. what can i say!

I still have mixed emotions over this, it's their choice to do what the please with it. I just think about the bambi's, tung's, bobiseverywhere and a few others that were on the forum when the staff were being Nazi's and how bad it got at times....now were just going to let the forum police itself. I know the selected super mods will be able to get rid of the obvious stuff, but just think about how many new people are here now. When the no0b bashing starts again, how much will this place grow? I still hold the position that negative behavoir just breeds more negative behavior. ie...Someone does something extreme and a newer person see's it....the new person is going to think its ok for them too and takes it the next step further....then the next further..and so on.

as i have played my b-game i had struggled with what has happin..in the last few months..i have been here for a little over a year now....when i got here..killo was telling peeps to go die.....its made me laugh....i so wanted to go die lol...i have been called every thing from slut to rank ho.....its just words.....i know this....but they made me feel good...i was doing something right.....i was getting better at the game...then Killa Bunny and Tung was fussing....it was fun to read..as i found so many new things to call peeps.....but it was takin to far.....then Tung and Moonblood.....so what do we do...get ride of Tung...did that fix it..no...then we add more rules.....didnt work.....so now the way i see it we dont have rules any more really....
this is a sad day for me......i have made so many friends here....i have had fun with them all.....
i know alot of you will hate me but i have to do what is best for me.....i look out for myself....
i love each and everyone of you...respect most.....i know some will not care..so what.......they can bite me.....

IMO Admin have done good & the only people moaning are the ex-mods pals, some of them were really crap at moding, only using they're position to enforce their own will instead of promoting the forum & community, openly contridicting fellow Mods good sense.

Mods need to be even handed while enforcing the Forum rules in a sensible way & able to laugh at themselves when they cock-up. Some of the ex-mods never even came in sight of those attributes.

We'll see how often they contribute to the forum now they aren't Mods.

Thats how the forum was originally, and this forum started going stale, getting boring, and full of love in shit at the same time mods and admin started popping up like rabbits and dry humping rules out of one another, the forum used to be fun, there was intelligent thought out content that you could appreciate, even if it was an attack on your person, or a friend,

There's still a couple of you that are being overly dramatic about this whole thing , and it's disturbing that "adults" act this way. Running from admin to admin, mod to mod, (ex mod to ex mod), member to member ... ranting , raving , threatening to leave the forum etc.. just making a fool of yourselves.

And all of this is for what? Attention? Wanting people to beg you to stay? Just for the sake of causing drama?

The admins are not going to change their minds or be made to feel guilty.. why? .. because they believe they made the right decision... and guess what? .. the majority of the forum agrees that this is the right decision. (Y)

It's just amazing that the ones complaining now, were the ones complaining the loudest before, saying this place was overly policed and that staff needed to chill or we're gonna lose members, yadda yadda ... Then after some staff were removed, the new complaint from the same people is "But BUT you removed my favorite staff"

wtf?? wishy washy, double standards. You can remove staff, JUST DON'T remove the one's I happen to like. :roll:

So I'm kind of thinking you have 2 options:

1. Get over it (which might be hard for drama kings/queens)

Oh this just cracks me the fuck up. I have just read all this crap and am utterly in shock at how some of the very ones to complain to me are the first to come in here whining.

I was speaking to Resa on the phone and the subject of the forum came up in our discussion. I ended up speaking to John about it since he had already been thinking about these things and wanted to work some things out and get some different opinions.

It’s so amusing to see that now that action has finally been taken to correct so many of the things that you guys were complaining about that you now find new reasons to complain…I shouldn’t be surprised though. Some people will just never be happy.

Why would you do a flip around and change like that??



2. She said why would we completely get rid of those threads that were dissing AG, when we should have left one in AIW. Because she said if the thread was about anyone else, it'd be left in AIW. She said people feel that our staff pick and choose who we "watch out for" and other members feel it and find it unfair. She said the only reason those thread were removed and the person is banned is because "steve is gonna get in her pants" and thats what people are saying.

hmm ..... how to go about this one...lol the whole point of this one was not favoritism as it seems. I actually just wanted to know when the forum had turned into a place where people couldn’t have bad threads made about them?? I seem to remember a certain thread about me that turned into pages and pages, not to mention the numerous other threads that have been made about people. lol the "get in the pants" comment was just relayed as i don’t care who the post was about, but it's a sad forum when all the flaming posts are deleted. That dude went way too far spamming the forum with shit, but it would have been deleted regardless, rather than just moved to AIW.

3. She said that people are sick of how certain admins mess with people's user names, and how they reset rep and prune the shoutbox at their whims. That the forum never had so many staff that screwed with people's stuff like this, and there's nothing users can do about it.

I personally liked the name changes...but everything else was done because of the "I CAN" mentality....I will reset the sb every 3 shouts b/c I can...even though it isnt needed

4. That the "friendly drama" we used to have in AIW is even being policed. And that mods should stay out of it if ppl are having their deals in AIW. But ppl feel they can't even "Be themselves" around here anymore.

5. That the fun is going out of the forum, and that people find it more of a problem to come here than enjoyable.

6. That one staff says one thing, and another says something different. That there's too many staff and not everyone is on the same page. That the users are confused as to even what's allowed or not anymore.

That was the majority of the big mysterious post in the staff section. I find it downright hypocritical that some of the people that are now whining were the very ones to say the same things in their private little msn chats..

and in regards to the way people were let go....i'm sure it may have seemed like a slap in the face, but show me any kind of job where you are given warning that you are going to be let go. It doesn’t typically happen that way. There are too any things that can go wrong when done that way, which is why John chose to keep quiet about it and personally address the people that needed to be addressed. It was done that way for a reason, and everyone here knows John didn’t have mean intentions.

The "phone call" didn't cause this, Jacx just told me that it was happening Anyway, phone call had nothing to do with it.

Jacx Is going to make a post regarding this.. We had to be gone today till now and when he is back in here, he'll make the post soon.

To be specific... I chose to step down as mod first of all. Jock and Dymond are still mods, but only in their sections, entertainment and Tech. Jock is still doing Recognition threads. Buck and KS and Ridge are floating mods, however, KS and Ridge STILL have limited Admin access. Tim, Jacx and Steve are still full admins. Smokie, Vixen, Zonify, and Phuquit were removed as well. Zonify disaapeared 2 weeks ago, and Phuquit hasn't been here much and they felt he wasn't interested anymore they said. Smokie and Vixen, were choiced they made during their many meetings over this.

Now, That's the way it is, those are the facts.. and Jacx and/or Tim will make a post explaining their reasonings behind all this.

No rumors please.. some of you who are now complaining bout this, are some that have complained about there being Too Many staff and rules. *sigh* people aren't going to be happy no matter what they decide I fear.

These guys are alot more intelligent than to make this many changes over One phone call, where the complaints weren't even substantiated lol
