it doesnt really have much to do with how hard you are, knowing what city has more murders than the others... but regardless, as far as by population goes, the entire time i was growing up in Gary, we had more yearly killings than any other city in the U.S., and my grandfather actually played a part in the statistic as he was shot while some dude was robbing his shop. my dad also had several friends growing up that were killed in random acts of violence... white people really dont get much respect up there. one of my friends growing up actually took a bullet in the shoulder walking home from school. he survived though.
