It's $5000 Canadian, but your dollar equals like 93 cents CAD so it's almost the same :P One day on a whim last month I thought, hey! I'm gonna enter some contests! So I went to www.contestcanada.com and entered a shitload ... et voila!

And .. you're probably all gonna yell at me (except YAK) but I'm saving it all :hidey:

I saw this compound interest thing, and if I put away $12k or thereabouts before the age of 25 or something, by time I'm 65 it will have grown to almost a million. So I've already been doing that with 10% of everything I've ever earned since I was 12 and babysitting but this puts me a fair bit ahead :D

And Spork ... a pony is what I'd like to bloody buy myself :)

I owe my mum about $2500 right now but she's letting me put this $5000 away to not be touched.

I was merely pointing out that although you might accrue $1million by the time you reach 65, there's no guarantee that you'll actually live that long.
