OMG!! you guys are so fucking cool!!!

you covered all my favs in one thread!!! i <3 you!

Horses: so far all are in good health. BabyDoll is in her mid to late 30's so every day is a blessing.

Knitting: i find it hard to knit when it is 104 outside :O and no one has really requested anything so i need a project or 2. i love to make scarves...anyone?

Beads: i have about 1001 projects :$ but i am always looking for someone to "test" stuff for me. the deal is..i give it to you for free. you can either keep it or re-gift it. i just want feedback on it. i.e. nice colors combos, it broke, to heavy, beads lost color...and so on.

Boobs!:i think i want a boob job :O

okay well wouldnt be a proper disscussion without a reply so here I am..

Horses: I've always been afraid but in awe of horses.. is it true that they can sense your feelings?? Weren't you ever afraid of being bucked off??

Knitting: Well its not exactly chilly here either..perhaps you can try knitting some clothing??? Personally I'm totally in love with some of the new knit styles http://www.chicknits.com/infopdf.shtml

Beads: I can definately do that for you!! I'm very opinionated and I really like beaded jewelry! yay!!

Boobs!: Ugh. Who wants to get surgery on purpose?? I wouldn't even trust botox!! Furthermore you should take a pic of your boobs and send it to BOO before you decide and he'll be the judge. He's the expert!!!

well if you turn on the AC like me then you can knitt fine...the only thing that sucks is when i make a blanket and it starts to get bigger...i get a little to comfie and fall asleep.
I learned to crochet first so that is my fav.plus it is faster!

i have not done to much in bead but would love to learn

and YAK that looks like a great site thanks!!

I lost my pattern for a one peace pull over sweater so if anyone has one can you share :)

Beli

YAK- i meant i wanted smaller boobs not bigger ones :O i have some little beaded boxes that i would LOVE some feedback on.

TCA-your beads are done!! i will get them in the mail...soonish :$

Santo the real horses ;) with hooves and tails. what colors do ou think are pretty? i go for a lot of pinks and reds so maybe not what you want :hehe:

Aiyana- ugh!! an entire sweater! i have a pattern for that somewhere but i can't claim to ever have completed a sweater. i do lkike to knit more in the colder weather now that you mention it. maybe i should turn up the a/c and go for it!

Only if it is painful and you are physically fit do I not see it as cosmetic.

Ahhh how refreshing finally a nice thread with no fighting or smart ass remarks. Ummm I can't knit. Tried the bead thing and found I'm great if you consider 1 strand with various colors jewelry because that's all I can do successfully. Love horses haven't ridden one since I got bit in the boob by my cousins horse 6 years ago on 4th of July oddly enough. There you go I covered boobs and horses with one shot...... True story BTW with the scar to prove it
:hehe:

And red with black nice beaded jewelry color choices

here YAK let me see if i can birng it around for ya ;)

while i was at the beach, i found a wonderful yarn shop in the nearby town. normally... heat and knitting don't go together. but it was FREEZING on the coast! so i thought.. socks sound like a really good project. i found 2 really interesting yarns.
first one has Aloe Vera in it :S
http://www.paradisefibers.net/Austermann-Step-Sock-Yarn-p/943.htm
if you scroll down.. the color they show is the actual one i am working on. although i am not that far

the second yarn has shrimp fibers in it :O Weird!
http://www.soysilk.com/tofutsies.html

no horses on the beach :( and the bead stores there were boring. all the boobs were covered up cause of the cold i think.

and YAK i watched a show on breast reduction. totally freaked me out!! how do people suffer through that?

YetAnotherKitten
3rd July 2007, 10:29 AM
GOOD SAVE!!

Thats crazy, but I wonder if animal rights would appreciate that.. is it got unused (people ate the shrimp/crab) shells in it or what??

Btw you have yet to show us some of your beadwork!! I'm pretty sure you made promises in your opening statement ;)

And yea, thats pretty intense. But if you have years of back pain its a toss up I think.

I heard that when you wake up from anesthesia for a moment you cant remember where you are or why you are there. !! that would suck!!

Beli on the second web site you showed a pattern that I liked ...it is the sweeter with the hearts on it...Do you know where I can get this pattern or the yarn because there are no prices or anything.

YAK i have been "under" quite a few times. my mind always wakes up before my eyes open. second c-section i was under and i woke up just fine asking if i had a boy or a girl... no one wrote it down and the baby was already at the nursey. 9 long months and then had to wait while they made a phone call :@! but never had ny bad experiences with it...so far

Aiyana i bought the yarn in Mendocino, California at the only yarn shop in town. :$ i don't know the name of the store. but i will search around my usual pattern haunts and see what i can find. :)
here is a necklace i did

wooooowww... those are like WICKED AAWESOME (im a true bostonian lol)

So can we trade something for some jewelry?? I dont have any money but. i have.. uhmm well I some funny looking paintings and well I write poetry and sing...I don;t know if you are interested in any of those things but red is my fav color and green looks good on me.. :D

WOW!!

Beli
7th July 2007, 04:45 AM
i can appoint you to #1 tester to see if stuff holds up or not. won't cost you anything ;)
i have lots and lots of red. but i take forever to complete things...just so you are warned. i am always looking for people who want to make patterns. i do a lot of stuff with what is called Peyote Stitch. the graph paper for it is on this page: http://www.blackgiraffe.com/free.htm
the one that says Cylinder Peyote Graph
my one project that i actually like... is this:
http://www.amuseink.com/zephyr.htm
i can't get a decent photo of mine :@ and mine isn't 100% complete yet. i need to add the fringe and the strap. but wtf would you do with that? i would never wear it and i don't know anyone would. the time i spent makeing that was ... hours and hours and hours...
i am working on this one now
http://www.amuseink.com/pyra.htm any ideas on wtf to do with them when they are done?... anyone?

YetAnotherKitten
7th July 2007, 05:59 PM
WOW that last one is awesome!!..

And you could make it work with the right outfit. But then I'm always wearing crazy stuff lol

OR you could embroider it into a purse.. I would definately wear that on a purse even if its not with Boston style.. hell that might be the main reason id wear it!! haha!!

OOOrr if you could put it on a black satin loop instead of the beaded one it would look pretty awesome as a choker.. but that depends on how big it actually is .. it looks quite large..

ps i have no idea what to do with that pattern thingy

that is a pattern for a butterfly thingy that i scanned. i didn't make this pattern. but i have so much respect for whoever put in all that time to make it.

you just print out the pattern paper from the previous post and then color in the little squares to make a picture. makes me crazy trying to make patterns. i am not artsy in anyway. i can follow a pattern and make some variations of my own. but i dont really consider following someone else's pattern any great talent.

i think this Kimono is awesome!
http://www.arhyonel.com/images/kimono.jpg
i need to take a picture of how tiny the beads are so you can get the idea of how frustrating it is when the cat spills about 5000 beads on to the carpet:@

*omg* Beli. Awesome stuff.
I would make a display case (shadow box) with the four elements if you are inclined to make all four of them.
Would look really good all together.

I have made one beaded amulet purse in my lifetime, and will likely never complete another,
let alone the strap for the first (didn't like the way it was turning out).
SOooo much work, and the eensy weensy beads, and that dangerously thin needle...
and the cramping of the hands...the crossing of the eyes. *ack*

Love horses, and actually had one for a while...bad idea. Long story.

Prefer crocheting to knitting, but can do both...sort of.
Completed one small afghan of granny squares that I put together on the diagonal.

Boobs...what can I say. Love them.
Down from an "H" Cup myself since I stopped nursing the twins a little over a year ago.

Rach the easiest pattern for an afghan would be knit 10 pearl 10 for as wide as you want it. or k 20 p 20 if you want wider rows. super easy to pick up and set down since you can pretty much always see where you are at on the pattern.

you could even get fancy and do squares of say 20x20 knit and 20x20 pearl. i like an easy project to keep near the couch for when i watch tv.

when are you going to start on some socks? :P once you start you will never stop.

Calienta
5th September 2008, 09:52 AM
I HATE knitting in the round, and thus will never knit a pair of socks :P

I found a great pattern actually, it goes like, K5, P3, K10, etc... and then shifts over one on the next row, so it makes these cool piping things. Then it's seed stitch for 5 rows around the edge as a border.

Very thick and comfy looking! Can't wait to start!

I just finished the bag for my mom's pilates mat, so I'll take some pictures and post them tonight.

Calienta
5th September 2008, 02:05 PM
hahah Dave.

No Beli, I haven't done any felting yet, but my friend who learnt to knit with me has felted a bag and it's pretty cool. I like the different texture that felting creates.

Will be on my to do list :D

Calienta

Okay, here is the pilates mat bag. This is the picture of how it's supposed to look:

http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c319/Calienta/41880ad4.jpg

But I didn't like the colours nor the way the pattern went funky so I made my own pattern:

http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c319/Calienta/811a89b7.jpg

And the finished product :) This was my third real project, my first time knitting with two colours at once. It's a bit tight in those areas but I think I did alright!

Calienta

Thanks Beli! I did three quarters of it in a week, knitting like mad to get it done by my mum's birthday ... I knitted myself out though and it sat for 4 months before I picked it back up and finished it.

And Dave, you can't even see her butt :argh:
