Well I've been jogging and going to the gym, making sure i get my legs days in, I did a spin class yesterday, and it's the most pain ive ever been in from being sore. Anyone have anything that really helps them? And no, not the stretching, eating protein shit, I know that already.

My wife swears on Cytovol..

But it sounds like you might have overdone it a tad too.. Spinning is not for the faint of heart..

When i first come home, I put a bit of ice on my hamstrings for 20 minutes, take a shower, and then later have about 30 minutes of a heating pad.

Obviously, the ice is to slow down the inflammation, and the heat is to increase blood circulation. Both of which will help in the healing process overnight.

Also, I'm a huge fan of IcyHot to get me going the next day after I am sore.

Take a nice hot bath.. with 1 cup of epsom salt in it. Just lay back and soak. Epsom salt works miracles for sore muscles :)

p.s. You can also put bubble bath in with it if u wanna smell pretty too Matt :P

Also... Epsom salt works great as a face/body scrub. Just mix it with your body wash or regular soap and scrub with it... Makes for an excellent exfoliant (sp). Leaves your skin really soft, try it! (Y)

Both the above will help, however if your really sore u need to do a combo, after a work out, get hot and cold water avalible, switching the painfull areas between the hot and cold water every min , so min of hot and then a min of cold etc for about 20 min before u do their suggestions.

ALso dont over strain, if your hurting, Let your body recover, that means breaks between work outs...day 1 workout, day 2 off, day 3 backon...at least till your body has adjusted to the workouts u are doing without pain!

Thanks for advice, I'll be sure to try it. You couldn't have said it better dymond, it was hell for an hour, and worse after. Well I turned legal age today, so I'm off to my apartment in the city this afternoon for a bbq and then downtown, hopefully a few beers will help cure it a bit ;)
