Meh, who cares. Dump the whiney bitch on someone else and let them have his mediocre ass. He's a good player, but he's nowhere near as good as Jordan was and I don't think he'll ever be a GREAT player. Great players make the other players around them play better. Kobe has never been able to do that. Shaq had that ability. It's a shame the Lakers chose Kobe over Shaq. Guess it's time to start the search for the next superstar for Dr. Buss.

eh, he has no one to play with to his credit. And don't say Lamar Odom or Smush is a good player. They are not good NBA players, just ok.

I've been a Laker fan as long as I can remember. I actually liked Kobe for a long time and always assumed he'd blossom into an awesome leader and a great player. He's good, but I just don't think he'll ever be Jordan kinda material. Other than Pippen, who did Jordan have? Most of those guys would be nobodies if it weren't for what Jordan did for them. That's all I'm saying. If Kobe's gonna quit because someone in the front office is talking shit about him, it shows you what kind of man he is. The bigger man turns his back and laughs. He's a pussy, and I hope they do trade him and start over. He can go be someone else's problem as far as I'm concerned.

Pippen was pretty freakin' good. Look what Kobe and Shaq did together. All you need is two with a good supporting role. Duncan and Parker get it done with a great supporting role with the Spurs. A healthy Wade and Shaq as well. Kobe has had no one since they traded Shaq and it shows.
Trading him to the Bulls will be the grossest thing ever because the comparisons to Jordan will never stop. So I don't think he's going to get traded and I think the Lakers won't be a prominent player in Championship decisions for a while.

Steve Kerr, highest career 3 point percentage. Won game Six at jazz with the free-throw shot?
Rodman, defensive rebounding champion those 3 years over 15 boards a game?
Ok, your right, Luc Longley sucked. But you don't need a center taking away shots from Jordan.
So, with Rodman, Pippen, and Jordan all on the 1st defensive team. And jordan with scoring titles, yeah, they sucked.

Watch out for a four-way deal going down w/ the Lakers, T-Wolves, Celtics & Pacers...
KG to L.A.
O'Neal to Boston
excess junk salaries being shifted around
Kobe and KG would be a fun one to view.
O'Neal, Pierce & Al Jefferson would make the Celts an Eastern contender.

But was it his fault ? Having a defensive scheme trying to shut one guy down when you have ducan and bowen is pretty effective.

I just expected more from him after hearing all the hype that he had the potential to become a major player

His team didn't help him out. He played well getting many assist oppurtunites and drawing the defense to him and away from everyone else. His teammates didn't knock down the shots they should have, therefore the Cavs lost some close games.
