This will be as big of a fight as there is all year. I wish it was on HBO and not on pay-per-view

July 21
At Las Vegas (HBO PPV): Bernard Hopkins vs. Winky Wright, 12 rounds, for Hopkins' Ring magazine light heavyweight title; Oscar Larios vs. Jorge Linares, 12 rounds, for vacant interim WBC featherweight title; Michael Katsidis vs. Czar Amonsot, 12 rounds, for Katsidis' interim WBO lightweight title

This fight is going to take place 10-15mins from my house and this venue, while having gotten a few tv fight nights has never had this big of a matchup. Forrest and Baldomir for the junior middleweight title is pretty big by non-heavyweight standards. I might have to look into prices for tickets.

July 28
At Tacoma, Wash. (HBO): Vernon Forrest vs. Carlos Baldomir, 12 rounds, for vacant interim WBC junior middleweight title; Mario Santiago vs. TBA, 10 rounds, featherweights

I'll look, but thats something I've never looked into before. I'd think some Vegas sports book would have listings online. That's where I will start

I guess I can't edit but

I found a couple places for you Si

the hopkins vs wright match is going to be a 10 round beating for hopkins. Since he won the belt and FINALLY got that big money match he so desired he's been a flop. Wright will beat him down systematicly

Odds from about 20 different bookies in one place: http://www.oddschecker.com/other-sports/boxing

DHL-PBF was clearly the biggest fight of the year, it grossed all-time PPV record and made both fighters over $50 mil combined. It was a stinkfest though.

Hopkins-Wright promises to be one of the worst "big" fights of all time. Both fighters, while very skilled, have a safety first approach, and both have a very crowd unappealing style. I'd safely bet that it goes the distance, hard to pick the winner though.

Forrest-Baldomir could be an interesting fight of one-hit wonders. You should definitely go Eyez, especially if tickets are reasonably priced. Big boxing does not come your way very often.

Next week's Wlad-Brewster is guaranteed to have some fireworks, if you follow the sport there is no explanation needed. It is also on regular HBO and we are sure to see some body hitting the canvas.

In September we'll be treated to PacMan-MAB II, and there are strong rumors of Hatton-PBF happening in November at Wembley.

Thats how I've felt about Roy Jones Jr for the last couple years. He just doens't seem to have any real drive behind him anymore. He has a fight coming up in the next couple weeks and I have yet to hear any talk about it at all. I think everyone else stopped caring about him when he stopped caring himself

I just watched Hatton fight for the 1st time a week ago and while he impressively domintated the fight his style is exactly what I despise most about watching a boxing match. He holds endlessly, and it drives me insane just like Holyfield and Lennox Lewis in their day. Its one thing to see big heavyweights do it but in a fight between small guys you expect movement and lots of punches. Not punch, punch, grab. I can't say its not good boxing, as the best don't just throw punches, but I cant watch it

Hatton's actually reknowned for his Mexican Style of boxing
