It wasn't killing dogs it was dog fighting
why do people bull fight, why do they cock fight(chickens)
why do people watch ultimate fighting
cause it could be fun to watch
(but micheal Vick is kinda weird for it..i'll give him that)
(but he must have had some sort of justifiable reason for it)

I know this is sports and not serious discussion but damn have to say it lol.
It wasn't killing dogs it was dog fighting
Actually, the charges is also about killing certain dogs in very cruel ways who didn't ( in their opinion) make the cut.
Which is even more sick and twisted.
As for Bullfighting, ya is fucked up I admit, I would even dare to say COWARDILY.
It's not exactly a fair fight muchless honorbale in my opinion.
No different then hunting with weapons as a sport, sick people in my opinion.
Those who practice that have obviously fucked up ideas about what they consider a valued tradition lol.
Maybe they should try fighting the bull or animal and killing it with their bare hands and see what
true honor and valued tradition IS and more importantly ( what happens then) lol.
But as for APPROVED SANCTIONED fighting between human beings as a sport where the point ISN'T
to fight to the death is hardly comparable to cruel training and starving of ( animals) dogs soley as a reason to kill each other.
Pretty whacked man.
(but he must have had some sort of justifiable reason for it)
No reason could possibly be good enough.
His career is going to be over anyway.

That's why that fool is so fast and agile :O
Seriously, I don't even like dogs nor have I had any problems with Vick to this point in his career. Short of the time he tried to carry some weed on a plane in a hidden compartment in a soda bottle. QB's are supposed to be the smart guys and the leaders in football and Vick has proven himself a complete idiot and the exact opposite of a leader. Anyways, I'm gonna be laughing for days when that dumb fuck gets sentenced to years in prison. He has no defense against tons of clean evidence and witnesses. All he can say is, "I didn't live in that house." Yet the house is his, he's seen there, and his name is on receipts paying for the strange looking walls around his property, and other shit used to customize the house for dog fighting.
What I don't get is why the fool could be so dumb as to take his crimes across state borders. Dog fighting is hardly a federal offense and southern states aren't real likely to be hard on someone caught running them. But running his little operation over state lines brings in the Feds and gets him Federal Pen time. When all is said and done he's gonna end up falling way harder than Tank Johnson and Pacman Jones. There has never been another athlete loved and admired like this guy that is going to fall as hard as he is.
People forgive star athletes when it comes out that they hit their wife, slept around and caught the HIV, became drug addicts, get caught drunk driving, or say something stupid on camera. However, Vick is gonna find out the hard way that people in the US love dogs. Any color, any size bank account, any language. People love dogs and that dumb fuck committed the ultimate crime against them. Hell this is a country in which you can rape a child multiple times, kill a couple people in a non-brutal fashion or a number of other crimes and not get life in prison or much of a prison sentence at all. But if you kill a dog and it happens to be a police dog you can get life in prison and treated like you killed a human officer. Vick won't get life but he will feel this country's love for the stupid fucking dog.

seems like a heinous crime to civilized northerners, but there is a huge southern culture, mainly black, but whites too, who look at the whole thing like a sport.....like cockfighting!
And the thing with pitbulls that have been pitted against each other is...9 times out of 10 both the winner and the loser are so mangled that they BOTH have to be destroyed after a match! that is part of 'the sport'. :(

that made me laugh, the rushing qb offensive system will only work if u have 3 no i mean 4 rushing qb's because Jacksonville had 3 and still choked in the long run. They don't have long careers and usually can't even make it a whole season. To prove my point just look at Culpepper, McNabb, and McNair. How many seasons have they played without missing a game?
Culpepper has been a starter for 7 years and played 85 out of 112 games including playoffs.
Mcnair's stats are a little better out of 10 years he played 5 complete seasons.
McNabb played 3 complete seasons out of 7
Vick as a starter for 5 years has only played one complete season and has had 3 different coach's, mainly due to the fact he can' get along with them.

all this hooplah because of an icon and his pitbulls. what about the thousands of greyhounds that are destroyed every year that are still in their prime, and their only fault was that they had no interest in chasing a mechanical rabbit around a dirt track? where's the outrage there?

Sadly McNair may have had the most injuries out of all those qb's you named. He's just twice the badass and will play with them even if he can barely hobble away from under center. McNabb isn't far behind though. He's played injured a ton but he's also missed a shit load of games.
Those 2 can make it work with just their arms if their legs full strength. Vick would be fucked if he ever had to play with a leg injury that slowed him down. If he ends up playing again, he will end his career as the least accurate starting qb of all time. And I don't care how many 1st downs you can scramble for, if you miss on every other pass you throw you shouldn't be playing qb in the NFL. The Falcons will be very sad they let Matt Schaub get away.

Its just because GW hasn't said or done anything stupid lately. Its only a matter or time before everyone has reason to be outraged over something at least somewhat important. Til then our raging looney population here in the US will just have to bitch about whatever they can get their hands on...... It just happens to be Vick right now

I'm a hunter actually, and when i go crane hunting, not all the time they are dead, and when that happens, you hafta grab them by the neck and start twirling them in circles to break the neck to efficiently kill them... so Yea i've killed a couple animals with my bare hands, and ate them afterwards aswell... tasted damn good if i may say :vickie:

Ya Atlanta is screwed now, they be lucky to win more games then the Raiders this year lol.
Vick pleaded out, so they are saying he could serve anywhere from 8-16 months in jail.
Then when he gets out an NFL suspension ranging from a year to a lifetime ban.
Apparently we will know more on August 27'th as the verdict day.
