im presuming you go to the gym??
creatine might help as well as getting a programme directly to target putting on muscle - thats low reps with heavy weights if im not mistaken??
:pinkpanther: :austin:......... bah i dont know what that smilie code is but its the one with the little guy pushing the weights :hehe: good luck cam (Y)

I've been working out for a couple weeks now, but the only thing that has changed so far is my vanity. I'm still built like a drainpipe, but i love flexing in the mirror. "Raarrr, look at my muscles!" :hehe:

calorie intake all the way. youre looking for a big positive calorie intake. say for instance on average you burn 2000 a day. you need to eat 2500 to 3000. just be careful where you get your calories from. for bulking ive mostly heard these numbers. 60% protein, 30%carbs, 10% percent fat. might be hard to get into the routine of, but without going crazy with supplements, its a good way to go. your problem is that your body burns more than you take in, so it has a problem getting the things needed to build that excess muscle. quit smoking so much dope too. that will help. change your gym routine. your body will eventually get used to what you do and how you do it, and it just isnt a struggle for it anymore. use the bar on your flat incline and decline benches? go with dumbells and vice versa. use machines instead of free weights. do your small muscle excerises before your larger, example, flys before bench, allowing you to get closer to 100% muscle usage rather than a 60% usage. and cut out the chatter at the gym. rest between 60-90 seconds between sets, pretty much time to prepare the new weight for the next set. get in and out of the gym between 40-60 minutes. longer is not always better. after that hour, your body goes into endurance mode, and you are doing no benifit for your goals. waiting just lets yourself recuperate, and you're not going to hit those different muscles. if you find it hard to get the calories that i mentioned before, there are products out there such as muscle milk, loads of calories, lots of protien, glutamine and carbs in it to help out. good luck with it bro, keep us posted.

That coincides with alot of what i've been reading lately. I've been trying to take in asmuch calories while watching my calorie expenditure. I usually get all my calories from good sources too, i don't really like junkfood. I eat lots of tuna and rice and shit.
another thing i heard, is it's good for me to do excercizes taht work out my muscles as groups, like squats and pull ups, as it realeases more testosterone.
oh, and Cutting out the dope is not an option lol
Thanks for everyone's input so far!

This is funny.
I have that raging metabolism as well. I'm 6'2, 19 years old and have not been able to weigh over 180lbs. no matter what I eat (believe me I've tried).
Which is a good thing I suppose but I kinda dislike my body as far as build. I am a skinny mother fucker and naturally have piss poor strength for a human being which I've always been upset about.
About the only thing I've done successfully is running and gaining the stamina to run insane amounts of time without having to stop (compared to the normal person). But of course that does not build muscle which is what I REALLY need.
It seems that any time I try to body build to an extent my muscles get extremely weak after the first day to where then I cannot lift shit...they stay that way for a good 4 days. Repeat repeat repeat. Kinda frustrating really, I am sure I could be going about it a different way the way my body/muscles are but maybe I am just meant to be a skinny weak shit.

Its usually recommended to take before and after a workout, but i generally just use after, one point to note is that it will make you pack on weight if your not doing enough

Here you go....
First you need 1-1.5 mg/kg of your body weight in protein a day from food source and protein shakes (whey protein is best). So you need 66.9 to 100 mg of protein a day to build muscle thus bulk and increased weight.
To build muscle you need to be anabolic as much as poss meaning you need increased testosterone way over what your body normally produces so you really are going to need supplements. Normal test is 300-600 and you will need 1000 at least so good products are lg sciences methyl 1d with a nitric/creatine mix drank post workout, or muscletechs leukic with nitro tech drank post workout. Also to decrease muscle fatigue, you need something that neutralizes ammonia and lactic acid buildup that occurs during weight training. Muscletech makes Gakic for that as well. I know....expensive supplements but as we age, things decrease in our bodies. so we need this.
Basically, Methyl and Leukic are formulated to put your body in a anabolic state naturally, meaning no man boobs, no hair loss, no back acne or any anabolic steroid side effects.
The two drinks i posted are a formulation of creatine, potassium, leucine, beta alanine, insulin precursor, l arginine, glutamine and all the other essential BCAA's needed to build muscle and gain weight.
Leucine keeps muscles from breaking down from a damaging workout, thus muscle will grow and recovery is alot quicker. Gone are the days of workingout and hurting for a week. You feel fine in 1 day and are ready to start your next workout.
Potassium pulls creatine and other needed nutrients into the muscles.
Nitric oxide dialates the inner diameter of the blood vessel for more nutrients to travel faster to the muscle cell. You gat this in the drinks plus it doesnt hurt to take a nitric oxide supplement. There are many out there that dont cost alot. Just make sure they contain 3 grams of l arginine.
Also, to keep things moving, workout your legs. I know its boring, but science proves working out the legs increases musclebuilding properties throughout the body.
If you bought this stuff outright it would cost probably 150 dollars a month but go to lgsciences.com or muscletech.com and read up. You use these products on cycles so its not monthly. In the U.S. go to GNC and buy a gold card for 15 dollars. You save 20% the first 7 days on anything you buy there. And a s always, if not satisfied, return with receipt within 30 days and you get your money back. Also, ebay has all of these on there.
I did alot of research on supplements needed and this is what you need.
I do not work for any of the above so i could care less what is bought. I am a R.N. I just got sick of all the wasting of time because my body wasnt in a anabolic state, which is what builds mucsle. Without these, you are almost always in a catabolic state, which destroys muscle.
