People keep complaining about how boring the forum is.....guess it's because no one is ever here anymore!

Where's PS, Rit, Hobbels, Miemio, Jacx, Vixen, Shmoo, Darker TT, Collander, Aeonflux, Eyez, AZ, etc......

Whenever I log in now it's just me,Tung and Bellows.
I actually miss Korn.

Actually I was a little turned off when we lost so much of the new forum. I was just starting to enjoy it then suddenly it was all erased by some bored asshole. Maybe I'll get into it again some day but for now I only see people bs'ing in the shoutbox and not contributing anything at all to the forum.

I agree with si si, I would miss it... if there are really problems with the shoutbox its more so because there aren't boundary rules in it, there either needs to be report features for the shoutbox or ops who are just there to regulate SB, ones that wont abuse powers but are around frequently... but i said this in the very beginning when it got popular... I saw the potential dangers with it as it was... dy and I had a long descision about it... anyone who has frequented IRC knows what I mean...

know what's amazing? the shoutbox ain't there....have you seen how many new posts there are today?

face it, the shoutbox is just killing the amounts of posts made by people, when we get like 10000 members again, then it wouldn't matter so much probably, but until we have enough people either way, i think the shoutbox should stay gone, personally

I certainly don't think it should disappear.

1) It increases the amount of forum spam that would've just been crap that disappears quickly in the shoutbox. Take you for instance. You've said the same shit about the SB for 4 posts now? Once couldn't have been sufficient, or twice at the most? Tung is another example of this.

2) Quantity != Quality. I prefer quality. You obviously prefer quantity. It was the same thing that occurred when the post count was turned to zero for everyone. The amount of posting decreased, but the posts were usually of merit.

3) You're making a correlation that probably won't hold up after 3 days. Obviously people are going to post more as of this moment. The shoutbox is gone and that's the new thing to talk about. However, how many of the SB whores really posted all that much in the first place? A lot less than you'd think.

I dissagree. I think that there was the same quality level with/without the shoutbox. I disscussed that sort of last night. It all looks the same to me--as it always has been. Some may say "its going down hill", well its jsut as BRR said --its becuase of "you". I mean I didn't post that much but at any given time you could find my name somewhere..n while people were shoutboxing i would be reading the forums..

Now there is tons to read and yes i have to sort through the shit-but you know what?? I'm okay with that becuase its expected. If people aren't talking at all then they won't come up with anything good, thats how a conversation works you can just insert great conversations in places. You gotta get the ball rolling and then see what comes from it.

I don't think that there was some elite group of poster's stil hanging on while "quantity" was low. I think that it looked dead and made it difficult for people to not end up talking to themselves.


As far as SB whores posting--I think I dissagree on that one as well but obviously neither of us have statistics so lets just pretend you never said it ;)
