Dude Ferrets are a blast! The only downfall is the smell. They are related to the skunk and tend to get a bit musky if you don't bathe them regularly.

I've got a ferret. She's fucking awesome. She was descented before I got her, and she doesn't smell at all. Coolest pet I've ever had!!

they are in season in summer, when there is more day light (Y)

Very curious and loads of fun, but tend to be troublemakers of sorts.
They like the taste of soap...watch out every time you load the dishwasher.
Friend of mine lost one of hers in a dishwasher-related accident. :hidey:
Also tend to hide in places that can potentially lead to injury or death if not supervised closely.

Actually Prarie dogs carry the plague that is why there are so few left and also why the Black footed ferret population is almost gone so get a paraie dog and see if ya don't get something more than ya wanted :slapping::slapping::
