Recognition thread suggestion...

Can we start to have either seperate recognition threads for gunners, or can we start to include more of them in the voting process? There are many, many good gunners who contribute a lot of hard work and effort to the game that deserve some recognition. I know their accomplishments are not as easily noticed as worth players' but they still deserve recognition just the same.

lol sounds complicated.

But there are a lot of people out there that arent renound for great scores, just a specialist in a certain area.

I wonder if that is too many catagories, you can always suggest them and when you list their accomplishments and I think that the "interview" questions need to be revised I can do that to accommodate the person being "recognized"

With the interview questions, i agree that they should be revised. Im always interested to read the dope wars related questions and answers, but when the general questions involve such fields as favourite colour i fail to see the point of them.

But thats just me.

there are some great cartels that get fuck all recognition.(and im not talking about reds :P)

you have all teh gunner cartels. as much as they are all arseholes(bastards jumping me >.< :D) they do a great job keeping teh game interesting and they get (some anyways) good scores from gunning.

what i was suggesting was that maybe once every month or 2 a group cartels get recognition. and not heaps of cartels maybe 3 every 2 months or so that way it keeps them rarer then the normal recog threads and cartels, not individuals, get recognised for something that they have done.

like TLB. they have done awsome each round that they play.
DOT. always in B1 destroying cartels.. how often does a medal come out of there
G4H. always in B3. same as DOT.

i wouldnt mind seeing some cartel recognition threads and i think maybe every 2 months you could have a gunner recognition thread at the same time as the worth ones it will balance it out a little more it will please more people without making it too confusing

with recognition threads, i only read the dope wars related section. What i would prefer is if this section was expanded by adding more questions, because the general section is quite boring to me.

Basically, i want more under the dope wars related section in each recognition thread.

I actually would love to do that holy, but after all that has gone on I am afraid it would be seen as favoritism, cronisim or unfair....

I need to know what you all think, can they get their much deserved threads back....we can do them along with the current ones so people don't have to wait

definetely, i dont care if there's 3 in a month, but lets get back up to date, so we can focus on those who deserve one. PS i do not believe gunners or cartels deserve a seperate one, cartels get their glory on the overall medal page (when its updated, wanna take that over Vixen?) and gunners if they are truly worthy will earn one in due time.

Some of the most legendary fucking gunners i have even seen in dopewars, can fuck an entire cartel single handedly, like come on.......see the criteria for getting a recog thread, half those gunners will NEVER get one, atleast if we recognize gunners in another way or something, they will get their props too

i think Buzzin definetely deserves one (after stupid), he's been one consistent fucker round in round out in b2, and we all know what it takes to be top of any room round in round out as a gunner :smartass:

I have consistently finished in the top 10 overall or close to it for over a year now...which is better than some of the people claiming that they deserve one...So tell me how this is a popularity contest? People actually need to work to deserve one. I understand that there are outstanding DW players that deserve one that will never receive one just because they dont frequent the forum often and havent made themselves known...If you know this then just do what Vixen said...pm her and nominate the person that you think deserves it

nfc- holds the all time junky record, knows more than one way to skin a cat, probably the scariest gunner in the game (if you're hoarding and see him on the scores page, u better spend up)

Buzzin/Burgark- pretty much same as above, though I tend to see burgark tearing rooms up more consistently than anybody else

seasider- If I see him anywhere near me it completely alters my strat, not many you can say that about.

first...no threads for carts...a cart needs 20 players or more and then they get the glory of having a medal in the medal table and discussion of how well they played in the final scores thread.

This is about recognising players that contribute so much to the game.

If you want a gunner to be recognised then suggest them in vixens nomination thread.

Also i dont know why everyone assumes gunners are missed, lot of players who have excelled at BOTH worth and gunning have had threads. Dont u think by making seperate worth and gunner recognition threads, u weaken whats gone on before? My understanding is its about long time game players who have contributed to the game, or excelled in all areas!
