I've used IRC for the past 7 years... and well, I agree that the irc sites such as Dalnet used to be and those that you download stuff on are full of crap, trojans, spyware etc.. ...but for my admin duties in chat-web, it's a godsend. I can't imagine doing all the stuff we do there if we had to use Java like the regular users there have to use. :|

I have a custom made script called JungleJuice, it's pink and purple and has lots of cool features :grin:

I remember dalnet. now i just use efnet or some smaller nets for other thingies

irc is wonderful, still heavily used, it is where all the important activity on the internet is organized (top tier warez distribution)
