If you tried a few different AVs/ASs you probably need something specific.

What is the name of the software it wants you to buy? What is the name of the process which is always running?

Did you install any software just before the problem started? Or did you download anything which could have contained it?

Yeah find the process name and google it..Usually you will find instructions on how to remove it..Honestly though if its the one I dealt with about a year ago it was a real m*ther f*cker to delete. I remember this one throwing up spyware ads too...

There's a particular program which touts itself as a spyware remover...then you can't get rid of the fucker and it does exactly this described behaviour

generally anything can be fixed though.

I had that as well earlier this year sometime. I followed the directions that Dymond left in the old forum and that worked a treat. My mate picked up the same virus and it cost him 100quid to have fixed. Bloke who came round to fix his pc was at it for 4 hours and ended up taking it away with him.

Never got to thank you for that Dy (y)

let me guess...spyaxe or one of its clones...

SmitRemfix is the best tool to remove this and others. I have saved well over 20 pcs from this crap and others using this tool.

Link to program here: Smitrem.exe

when u use this tool it must be done in safe mode.

so download the program. then without touching it get ur pc into safe mode:

If you got Xp, then go to Start and click Run.

the lil run box will open and you need to enter: msconfig
and press ok.

The system Config box will now show.

Click the BOOT.INI tab

click the /SAFEBOOT

reboot.

Now that u have rebooted the pc, run the program u downloaded (best save to desktop).

Click the instructions as it asks you then let it run...dont touch!!!!

at the end it will then proform a scan of ur hard drive (u can cancle it but best to let it do it.

Then go to Start and click Run.
enter: msconfig
and press ok.

The system Config box will now show.

Click the BOOT.INI tab

click /normal or whatever its called (will be obvious).

good luck.

oh and ur desktop will be blue after...its normal

Jacx yeah I think Phuq and a few others flushed out that very program to fix his prob. I haven't heard if he had any success with it. I dealt with this spyware a few years back and man it was a MOFO to remove. I hope this tool has helped simplify it.
